1000 Mbps upload speed? That's almost impossible for residential fibres...

How are all of these independent Fibre companies providing service so cheaply?

The providers using BT’s fibre infrastructure tend to be more expensive but those who have run their own fibre can charge what they like, some great deals out there from independent providers.

I got mine for £425 for 2 years (they gave me 7 months free, it will be about £17 a day) call them or complete your details but don’t submit them, then wait for their call in the next day and negotiate your offer.

I am an existing customer , it's excellent and confirm these speeds and be glad to do this for anyone if you want to message me , I'm looking for friends as I have none!
That's if it's ok and within HUKD policy of course. (edited)

That download speed is inaccurate and not physically possible on the gigabit network port supplied with their kit. You can only ever go as fast as the slowest link. 940mbps is the absolute max on a gigabit NIC. Try a diff Speedtest. (edited)

No it wont, the monthly cost is £25 a month the gift card is an added bonus that can't be used to reduce the price.

If anyone really, really, really doesn't want to use the £80 Amazon gift voucher then you can just sell it for cash. You can get £72 for it at cardyard.co.uk

I got this installed on Wednesday. Engineers were excellent. I already had Virgin 1gig, the download feels the same but the upload is epic now. Just waiting for my home number to port and it’s bye bye Virgin after 15 years.

If you can get it in your area it’s highly recommended!

this deal is available to existing customers as standard. No need to threaten to leave or any BS like that.

I was into month 23 of my 24 mth contract and they just gave it to me, no hassle. Top marks for Community Fibre.

Damn, I just had my street upgraded to fttp but only 3 companies provide it and it's outside London.. can't wait for this kind of competition here.

I can only get BT, Talk talk and Giganet. (Some others but more expensive)

Great price. It seems they automatically upgraded my original 800mbps package to 1gb for free without mentioning it. FYI for those who do not get the advertised speeds I had to do the usual buy 3rd party router to get WiFi speeds of 1gbps on my phone (need a WiFi 6 device) or their velop router was like 5-600mbps on WiFi which is still plenty (edited)

Asus ax82u when it was on offer for £120 about 2 years ago. I'm used to Asus interface so I stick with that. Just look for a WiFi 6 router so your are future proof and also one that has good signal....I'm getting 600mbps in the attic

Just to note they aren't signed up to the ofgem speed guarantee, so they only guarantee upto 10mbps even if you're paying for 1000mbps. I'm sure it won't happen often, but may leave you short if you think you have a right to complain about slow speeds.

Community Fibre currently has a bad taste in my mouth They are currently rolling out their cables in my area (Redbridge, London). Last Friday, their cowboy contractors managed to damage and sever the main Openreach fibre cable feeding my and my neighbours properties in my road. We've been without broadband or landline phone for over a week now while Openreach investigates. So damn Community Fibre and their useless contractors!

These sales guys don't always deliver what the promise.
I know from second hand experience.
A friend was offered the extra routers etc for free. Once the contract was up and running, they charged him 5£ a month for the extra router and there was no way of changing that.

Really good service with them so far. Only criticism and this applies to every providers. The linksys router they provide didn’t work in our house, coverage was very poor.

Purchased ASUS XT8 mesh system and getting minimum 350 in every room possible.

Oh wow, I couldn't cope with that! Gluck on solving the issue. The velop would be a cheap trial so see if you get a solution. Maybe even just try with 1 unit first. Add a handful of streaming devices to its network and see how it plays out.

When more people start using it, speeds will go down (contention ratio) and will the backhaul and bts servers be able to cope? Probably not. Do do BT care, no of course not.
