About this deal

I've been looking for a new laptop for a while and this looks like a good option considering price vs power.
Check out the comparison with the Asus ROG Zephyrus M16 which is £800 more.

From the currys product page:
With this kind of gaming power, the Lenovo Legion 5i Pro rivals a desktop PC. Run the latest games at high frame rates with the 12th gen Intel® Core™ i7 processor and RTX 3070 Ti graphics card. The WQXGA IPS display is a bit taller than Quad HD, so you have a bigger view of the battlefield when you're seeking out enemies. And as you prepare to make the killing blow, your gameplay all looks satisfyingly smooth with the 165 Hz refresh rate.
Good to know
- You can store a whole library of games with the speedy 1 TB SSD, and they'll load up in no time
- Multitasking is easy with 16 GB of RAM - game and chat with your friends lag-free
- With super thin fan blades, Legion Coldfront 4.0 cooling keeps temperatures low without making a racket
- The 4-zone RGB backlit keyboard lets you see each key when you're gaming late at night
- When you're playing competitively online, you can rely on stable WiFi 6E
- Use the Thunderbolt 4 port to hook up a monitor or quickly charge your devices

My only complaint is the touch pad, I am always accidently double tapping on it.
I was all after the Zephyrus series, but then read complaints and reports of the hot air blown on the screens ruining them after some time;apparently in some Country Asus recalled some zephyrus (the flow 13" if I remember correctly)..I really wanted the flow 13 or the 14" but that information about this issue eventually pushed me to look for other laptops. I wanted something below 2 kg with dedicated gpu and now I identified either the Asus Tuf/dash series or the slim 7 lenovo one as the best ones. Problem for me is I don't want compromises with the quality of the screen...nothing below 350/400 nits,as I am not a gamer.
This Legion 5i Pro would be in my top 3 list if battery life wouldn't be so limited...well and a little bit too heavy with its power brick, obviously due to its performances. (edited)
The battery is pretty much only used if you're using the laptop for more office based tasks, web browsing etc,
OP I recomend you put the specs info in title
Something like this

3070 Ti > 3070
RGB > White Backlit Keyboard
Unconfirmed but it seems like the AMD version doesn't come with an OS? Whereas this does (Windows 11 Home). Not difficult to source one however.
Additionally there's reports in the other thread about the AMD variant not having Advanced Optimus (for switching between iGPU or dGPU without rebooting).
It's objectively the better laptop in almost every way but whether the above is worth the £300 premium (£210 in your case makes it easier to swallow) is subjective. I'd personally prefer a 3070 variant as I don't need the extra GPU grunt but that config is near impossible to find.
