You need to factor in a base too which is atleast £40

You can order bags like these for around £5 and they can hold up to 25kg.

Bit worried about the red fading with the UV, but at this price worth a punt. Thanks!

Reviews say the same also about the red, fades very fast. I ordered anyway thanks OP.

Is its lifespan measured in hours or minutes

Depends on the windspeed.. I bolted one of these to my patio paving and by the end of the summer i only had the broken frame left, the rest had blown away

We had / have this. Lasted about four months. Its light metal construction meals it is susceptible to moving in breezes, wind is a big no no.

Ours started to lean under its own weight, and slowly tipped forward. Then, after four months the string that opens and closes it snapped inside the contraption.

It got replaced FoC etc, so all good... just don't expect much for this price... might get one summer out of it.

Price is less than we paid, so heat for the price. (edited)

I'd be more concerned about them not liking the wind than fading. Honestly, as another poster has mentioned a slight breeze and they're all over the place.

Mine is from B and Q and they are designed to move a bit , mine has a vent in the roof for the wind to blow through

A lot of poor reviews for this one. Thanks for posting but going to wait for an alternative

The suggested base (frequently bought to) is about £20:

Kingfisher 9kg Cast Iron Effect Parasol Base amzn.eu/d/7…S6z

Or maybe from another parasol. (edited)

We have a grey version of this. Under a different brand name but the frame and contstruction is exactly the same. The extra spokes make it more circular and pleasing to the eye, and I'd like to think stronger as well. We still have to tie it up if there's more than a slight breeze but it was great last summer. We paid about 70 for it so this is an excellent price.

We used leftover 300mm paving slabs for the base which were about £2 each and put plant pots on top of that for aesthetics.

Good price, but I’d be concerned about the red fading and reviews don’t look great.. thanks for posting nevertheless

Does it matter if it fades? you will be underneath and will not see

Ideal for the weather we are having

This is a good price and they are excellent to have. I would recommend weights which are connecting plastic containers you can fill with water or sand to counterbalance the umbrella. It doesn't stay up without something to weight it down. We used various heavy things which were clunky and unreliable but the weights are excellent. Usually another £40 in addition if you shop around.
