    decades of maths teaching underinvestment showing here coupled with nectars clever point system which is 1 point is worth 1/2 a pence.

    So normaly you get back 1/2 %
    Now you get back 2.5%

    So spend £50 and get 125 Nectar points (62.5p) rather than 50 Nectar points (25p) - an extra 37.5p to then re-spend in places like Argos or Sainsbury's - not even equal to 1% discount. Can anybody get excited by this?

    Is it not 5 times the normal points? Should be 250 nectar points in that case which is equivalent to £1.25 (or 2.5%).
    But what you said is true, not a great deal, but if you are anyway buying something this is going to be a plus. I personally won't be buying just for this nectar offer. (edited)

    Why is this so hot? 2.5%? Some shops are offering 25-40% off. Most of their tvs are cheaper elsewhere with 5 year warranties, What am I missing?

    If you pre buy Argos/Sainsburys through work schemes another possible 5% off. Pends on scheme.

    Anyone else experiencing problems receiving Nectar points from Argos? Bought several things the past week on the bonus point days and so far not one point received. Just checked my Nectar account and there's no Argos reward points showing for months yet I've made purchases.
