Cooking Guidelines


Hob - From Ambient:

For the perfect rice
  • (1) To make perfect rice start with a ratio of 1 cup rinsed rice 4 cups of water.
  • (2) Bring the water to the boil and add the rice.
  • (3) Stir and bring back to the boil, keeping uncovered. Reduce to a rolling simmer for approx. 8-10 minutes or until rice is tender.
  • (4) Drain water, cover & leave to stand for 3 minutes.
  • (5) Lightly fork through the grains and serve.


Cooking appliances vary and these instructions are given as a guide. Please ensure that the rice is piping hot throughout before serving. Do not reheat.

Storage
Store in a cool dry place. Once opened, keep tightly closed and consume within the Best Before End date. For Best Before End date: See bottom of pack.

    Surly anyone buying 10KG already has a rice cooker, less so those who buy the fun size bags.

    Laila 10kg basmati rice usually goes down to £12 or £12.50 on offer, either at Tescos, Morrisons, Sainsburys or Asda. For people who bulk buy it’s always worth waiting for that but this is good for people that only need the one bag(y)

    12 is a good price so tempted to wait. Usually buy 5 at a time.
