Wow, have you seen all the reds on these, as in the traffic light system? So unhealthy. https://groceries.asda.com/product/indian/asda-indian-chicken-korma-chicken-balti-with-2-starters-4-sides/910003045733 Those values are just for HALF a box.

Lol how refreshingly honest. But you have to remember that 90% of the UK population are now lower class/echelon, pea brained, obese, gutter trash who cannot even speak proper English innit knaw whit i mean! My european friends said and I quote "all your average brit needs now is beer, fags and football" - how sad but true! Poison on a plate. Give me terrible stomach acid and my brother the skitters when i tried it in a moment of "lower echelon madness" lol (devil) Make everything home made these days its cheaper and healthier!

+1. Tried all except M&S/Waitrose. None near me. Still think Tesco is better for value for money. Morrisons are quite nice too.

Cheer up bud, though it is always wise to remember you are not as special and unique you believe you are

M & S used to have the best Indian curries, the chilled ones, made by Noons Foods an Indian owned manufacturer, not sure what they are like today as now owned by Kerry Foods, They were marginally dearer but they did contain meat, lots more than other brands. Next is Waitrose for chilled. I used to buy in bulk from both manufacturers and freeze them. Both of these are far better and have a bigger range than the rest. Used to love going around Park Royal and Southall, picking up from the various manufactutrers.

This isn't as nice as some other brands so if u find Laila for similar price rather.go for that. This doesn't expand as much and taste a bit starchy too.

Why do they never do a vegetarian one of ANYTHING when they do these spicy meal offers? I genuinely adore very hot and spicy food but all veggies ever get offered is mild spiced choices! :3

Look in the reduced section for these. Got this pack on Friday for £3.75 because it went out of date on Saturday.

Now this sounds right up my alley. But we don't have Morrisons here anymore. We'll have to make do with the chicken jalfrezi/tikka masala banquet for 2 from Sainsbury's (comes with 6 mini bhajis, 2 samosas, portion of spicy chicken pakora, bombay potatoes, pilau rice for 2, and 2 nan breads)

England! (worldcup) (football)

They had a couple of these reduced at £2.50 yesterday, was tempted but thought it would not be worth the punishment today! :S

This tastes delicious my favourite brand out there

Best rice pudding out there 👌

I don't know if any regular consumers of this have noticed that since about a month ago there is barely any rice in the pot, and it's nearly all just cream? Might explain the cheap price, I've stopped buying them now as I'm so disappointed. Great price though.

Very nice rice pudding, which heron is this?

It's a Rice Pudding not a Yorkshire Pudding! :) Haha

Great find. I buy 10k bags and am an Irish single male. You can make your own jokes about paddy fields.

Maybe with some curry

How about you contact the manufacturer and inform them of your research findings? They could be losing out on millions. Instead of complaining about it on a deal website

Rice is cheaper to buy in oriental shops than in supermarkets.

Kohinoor gold is really good quality. Id say 2nd best after tilda. Good aroma, long grains and the reason why i like this better than others is bcoz the rice doesnt stick together after cooking. Ideal for biryani

Silvercrest rice cooker £12.99 @ Lidl

Confirmed via a question to a Amazon purchaser of the same unit, that inner pot is definitely aluminium with non stick. Glad I did not act on the recommendation of the person who suggested the Breville.

RamsJord: If your wanting a large rice cooker with a stainless steel bowl and easy to clean. Mum has a Breville one. Was £30 for expensive but she's had it nearing on 10 years now. I recommend it highly. Available in Argos Thank you v much. Was sceptical at first but its brushed stainless steel inner pot in Q&A. Googling got me this long time ago £20 hotukdeals.com/deals/breville-18l-rice-cooker-was-3999-now-1999-at-argos-1997751 And directly at Argos £24 argos.co.uk/product/4226309 The option I thought was to buy the Brevilles stainless steel inner pot and put it in my Russell Hobbs. Now to check prices and sizing. [All I see for this model on eBay, is definitely an aluminium inner pot. I am not so convinced]

I used to think the same...then I got a rice cooker about ten years ago...what's Had perfect rice, every single time. Honestly, they are great. Wouldn't be without mine.

If you follow the instructions properly re amount of water added, you will get perfectly steamed rice with full nutritional content intact. Using a saucepan means throwing out the vitamins in the boiled water, unless you have time to watch it like a hawk whilst steaming. In my experience rice cooked in a rice cooker is always perfectly cooked with minimal fuss and bother. Get a rice cooker and buy Thai Jasmine fragrant rice, you will never top that for aroma and flavour. It’s a wee bit expensive, but so worth it!

I do. One day without rice and I feel something missing from my life.. (lol) (lol)

Yep, needs more water than it says specifically. Cooks quick and is amazingly easy to clean up.

Good deal for a decent rice cooker. Had mine for nearly 2 years now and has been consistently great. At first it burned rice but once you ignore the recommended water quantities and figure it out for yourself it's fine. Heat added OP!

Someone loves Rice.

It's basically the same as doing it in a covered pan. Measure out your rice, measure out your water and it warms it up and cook with the absorption method. I've never really seen a benefit to this as I usually steep, cook and quick-cool rice then microwave it as required. I also usually saute my rice before adding the water so I'd just end up transferring the rice from the pan I could have used anyway into a rice cooker - and creating more mess. You can use them to keep rice warm for hours and you can cook other things in them, but equally you could just cook rice in your slow cooker.
