sorted byBest device for video calls. Yes, people will say why not a phone, tablet, etc. Try and keep your small kids in the front of the phone for the grandparents and you'll see why this is better. You sit on the sofa, the camera follows you, the other party has a full view regardless the kids run or not.
Also, very good for people with certain limitations. Voice command, you don't need to put any effort. Since I have this, I'm talking to my parents abroad on weekly basis. Before, was on monthly basis.
Even when it was £150, I felt it was a great deal. Never mind at £40. I appreciate the support will be discontinued, but I'm expecting these will still last for a while.
Voted hot, and I know what I'm voting on. I'm not comparing the other Portals with Google and Alexa, as I prefer the other 2. But for video calls, this is by far the best device out there IMO. (edited)
I have another one (portable Go) in the office as a dedicated ms teams device. It has a very nice camera that pans to fit the room / speakers. Highly recommended for that use too!
