How do we know if these are legit? I keep reading about knock-off versions being sold on Amazon.

I would assume you're pretty safe if sold and dispatched by Amazon rather than a seller on Amazon

Good price. I have several SanDisk ultras and none have failed.... yet

The read speeds always makee chuckle though as practically all brands have UHS-1 interface which is 104MB/s. Always a tiny disclaimer saying needs compatible hardware and this one is no different. I suspect just like the Samsung ones read quicker using their own Samsung usb to micro sd card reader, these will be the same to reach the speeds quotes in the advert

The other thing I would point out is the samsung one mentioned above that was a similar price is A2/U3/v30 rather than A1/U1/no v rating. Can't see it making much difference in the real world but just pointing it out

I have a steam deck 256gb, and went with the Samsung Evo 512gb A2 V30 as it is quicker. I do have a spare Sandisk one which I did try to put in but it was so slow, I had to pull out. I could definitely notice the difference in speeds.

It certainly does depend on where you want to use it. (edited)

My understanding is this is absolutely great for Nintendo switch. But the samsung Evo 512GB is way better for Steam Deck/faster devices.

I bought two Samsung Evo Select from Amazon and I think they were fakes. Would this work OK do you think? Might just buy it anyway. (edited)

Nice one, ordered from them directly. Shouldn't need to worry about a knock-off version then.

Edit - Says on back order, eta shipping on the 20th Jan. So the Amazon one might be more ideal for people in a rush. (edited)

Just like to add that these are great for a Steam Deck. I got a couple just before Xmas when they were £32.99.
The Samsung one has been on offer a quid cheaper than this & is a bit faster.
But I can't fault this one for what I got it for.

Exactly why I'm getting this Glad to hear they work well with it.

Sandisk memory cards are the only brand to have ever failed on me regularly and 512gb of data would be a heck of a lot to lose when it happens so it's a no from me.

Used Sandisk for several years both photography and computing and never had a card fail me yet.

Would this be good for a dji mini pro 3

    Well ...

You need one that's Endurance rated, Extreme rated, or failing allllllll that, then, Samsung EVO rated. :-)

    Etc etc etc etc etc.

    But this one?

    Nope!, sorry. :-D

This suitable for a GoPro Hero 9?
    razortth's avatar
This is too slow for video recording I suppose. Not suitable if you want to record in 4k.

Hi all. Would this be okay for DashCam/home indoor camera. If not does anyone have any links to good ones at decent price. Thank you

No worries in a dash cam as long as it’s not
    High bitrate 4K.

It would work fine for 24/7 recording, however you need to be mindful that’s not what it’s designed for so wouldn’t last as long as an ‘endurance’ card.
