  • The cosy restaurant is an ideal spot from which to take in the views while enjoying some hearty fare and a local ale
  • The market town of Sowerby Bridge, known for its picturesque waterways lined with trendy pubs and cafés, is 20 minutes' walk from the hotel, or less than five minutes' drive

  • Halifax is around 15 minutes' drive away
  • Shibden Hall, a Grade II-listed historic house set in 32 hectares of gardens and woodlands, and the pretty market town of Hebden Bridge, are around 15 minutes by car

For dog owners info it’s £19 per dog and one dog per room only. No good for me!

Stayed here , we got the train to Sowerby Bridge and a short taxi ride up, real friendly and welcoming locals, a good base to visit Halifax and Hebden Bridge. The hotel is on the hillside , fair enough and a good 3 star in my view, breakfasts were decent and help yourself , dining was brilliant one night and ok the next . Cannot fault at this price.

Will this be full of Lord of the rings geeks quoting lines from the films? If so I'm steering clear.
