Before anyone gets too excited please bear in mind these are T or TX heads not PZ like the other turboscrews.

Argh….. just bought and realised afterwards they are TX screwheads! Oh well still a bargain and I do have some Tx heads somewhere (edited)

TX really is far the better driving head as you almost don't have to press at.
And these are nice and aggressive screw so start really easy. With PZ or PH you tend to have to press in - sometimes quite hard which is trouble when driving things in hard / awkward places.

These: as long you have space you can drive these in just about anywhere.

EDIT: Had bought some a while ago when they were clearing at £16 or so, then bought two more packs on the weekend. Stock seems to be all gone now though. Or rather the warehouse has none, some branches might have some if you are lucky. (edited)

Best screw that I have ever had.

Needed to lay some new floorboards and tried the Floor -Tite PZ screws which feel like they are made of weak aluminium. These Floor-Tite screws kept camming out and slipping unless you applied the PZ bit dead centre in line with the screw. Needed to reseat one of the screws but the the head just wore out when I tried to unscrew it which was a real pain.

Tried these Turbo TX and I could not believe the difference. These screws are dream to use and save so much time. Very little slippage or camming out. You can even use the TX bit at a slight angle when starting off which is handy when using an impact driver in tight spaces. No more PZ for me - TX and impact driver all the way

Word of caution though. These TX make more efficient use of the torque from the impact driver so go easy on the force you apply and make sure your fingers are well out of the way. (edited)

I thought Screwfix were a banned merchant on here. Whenever I've tried to post a deal it gets removed. What changed?
    bob-mk2's avatar
Apparently, they have just removed the ban.

    ...not that they told anyone.

Are they the same quality? I started using some Lidl ones when I finished my Screwfix ones and they seemed to snap occasionally, on the same project
