    Does anyone know what level pass I need if I want to play games in my PS+ library? I've not had a sub for ages so don't understand the new system. But I put The Last of Us in my library years ago when I was a member and would like to maybe play it again.

    I've been offered it as an upgrade to my existing plan. I have 229 days left on Essential but can change to Premium for £31 or Extra for £21. At £31 it works out at approx £49.99 over a full year but I've already paid for Essential so it's not much of a deal.
    Working it out roughly it works out at the same price as a full year Premium at full price for the remainder of my plan so no deal at all. (edited)

    That's because you are just paying for the upgraded sub. So you pay the extra for the remaining 229 days. You have not been offered anything at a discount. Mine is the same. I have 281 days left of extra and will cost me £12.39 to upgrade to premium. If you check back after a couple of days, you will be offered a lower price to upgrade.

    At the reduced price its more palatable if you think you will use the features that you are given access to. At its default price in not so sure unless you substitute buying any physical games at all for a yearly sub (one heard some treat it like a sub to Netflix or Amazon Video which makes sense). I'm curious why some believe that the extra or premium sub isn't worth it?

    I've had this sub since it was PS Now. This was after having an Xbox 360 and completely missing the Xbox One and PS4 generation.

    I got myself a PS4 towards the end of the gen (but way before the PS5 came out) and shortly after got a subscription to PS Now. In that time, I've only purchased two games and the value of both together was less than 25 quid.

    A lot of people say "X tier isn't worth it" and that's fine if it isn't for them. But they seem to forget is that not everyone is like them and keeps up with every single AAA game and whatnot. For me, Premium is absolutely worth it. And if I didn't have Premium, Extra would be worth it.

    Sounds like a good way to push away people who are on the fence about re-upping who haven't gotten this offer. Some people can get it for half what you have to pay but not you? Easy walk away

    Signed in to check and I have the option to upgrade to premium for the remaining 10 months or so for £39.18, so offer is live for me. Don’t play enough so won’t be taking it up.

    But that's not the offer if I'm right. You already paid your Essential and the 39.18 would be paid extra for 10 months you've got left on you ps plus sub. I can upgrade for £0.64 for 4 days I've got left on my subscription.

    This is acting up again. I remember last time this was offered with some getting it and some not. We were urged to clear the cache, use different browsers and contact customer service.

    It took me three days to get the offer in the end.


    It seems that it's random to whether you get it or not. Good luck to you all and heat for the OP.

    Edit: I have been offered the deal for £42 and the Extra tier for £28. I have 310 days left of essential which I got for £22.49 (edited)

    ..they definitely need to add more and better games to all these tiers if they want people to upgrade...the selection on both the extra and premium tiers is far worse than Gamepass IMO.
