If I bought the s23 ultra for £1099 online using save150 and then traded my s21 ultra 512gb for £300 plus extra £150 online using the bacs method, will they only give me 300 or the bonus money too? How will they know I'm actually going to trafe in to buy a s23 ultra? Thanks
    pat0000's avatar
I was the same, I rang Currys, they said I will definitely get the £150 off the price, ie £1099, plus the trade in is with a different company and I will also get the enhanced £150 for trade in. They said you cannot use double voucher codes but this is different.
    Hope this helps,
    Cheers, Pat

False. Mrswitch just changed the spelling for all of humankind.

I've just bought the s23 ultra with a £150 off code they emailed me. No trade in needed to get it at £1099. TCB for 5% off too.
    absolutebeginner's avatar
With trade in you get it down to £949. (edited)

Re trade in. The form has 'make/model not listed' - does this mean I could put any phone in, even a dumb phone?
  6. edwin29's avatar
If trade in a iPhone 13 mini I will get £280 plus £100. Sounds like the store will give me this in the form of an e-gift card to use when buying the S23. I am a bit wary though, don't fancy going in to a Currys (urgh) tomorrow to do the trade in and won't know if the SAVE100 code works in conjunction until I've given away my phone for Currys credit. Seems a bit risky.

I wouldn't sign up to that personally.

But not bad for unlimited O2 Data

I'm so tempted by this, but am worried about sending in a working phone for trade in for the company to say it's not the case
I've never done this type of thing before and am loate to send in an old phone(>5yrs old) that is in good nick and be disappointed
    SinghSang's avatar
I've done this trade in many times. You can literally send in ANY phone. I had an old Samsung D500 hanging around from 2004 that I'm trading in. You could even buy an old basic Nokia from eBay for a tenner and send that.

Seen this Phone in person, tested the camera next to my old worth now 260 quid Pixel 6.

The camera was really underwhelming compared to my 2 year old device now.
It's better in some sense and disappointing in another.

200mpx mode in well-lit indoor conditions - pretty disappointing.
default 12mp/s main camera snaps are a tad better than my Pixel 6 but not 5 times better to justify the price.

Zoom Camera is a joke. in 100X magnification when snapped a picture of the text, camera-generated in the final picture some randomized letters (looked like Dall-E generated picture)

The video is ok and it is better than on Pixel 6, Picture wise snaps are about the same in the same light condition.
Colour reproduction on Pixel is far better than on Samsung, Samsung's pictures has a lot of purple hue on white areas (also burned out) whereas Pixel is leaving them exactly as they are in real life.

Bit disappointed so withdrawed my preorder.
The camera was my main object for purchase.

    Unedited, noncompressed pictures.

    Pixel 6 Auto
    S23 Ultra Auto

    S23 Ultra 200mpx

Lesson learned - should never trust reviewers and always test the handheld before placing a preorder. (edited)

It’s annoying, I decided to try iOS for the first time when the 13 pro max came out, but I want to switch back to Samsung. Samsung had the 512 in stock whereas Currys doesn’t. Currys offer 490 for the 13 pro max plus 150, whereas Samsung only offers 150!

Appreciate if anyone can answer please, as i am abit confused. Do i trade my phone in first and then get credited via bacs or gift card, then i am able to purchase the phone ( s23 ultra ) ? How would i transfer my data if i have already traded my phone in? Or do you purchase phone then trade in? And recieve a refund ? Also someone asked in one of the comments below, but couldn't find the comment. How would they honour the extra 150 trade in, would they need proof of the purchase of the s23 ultra ?
    jambo89's avatar
I've done this before with pixel 7 and about to do it with s23. You buy the phone first and then trade in, price is guaranteed for 14 days.

When you fill in the trade in you will get an email confirmation of the price of the trade in which will include the extra £150 you then get sent a parcel to send in your phone.

I'm waiting on my s23 arriving and then I will transfer data from my old s20 and then send it off.

How long does it take for the trade in paid in? I've received the ultra a few days ago but haven't opened it yet, waiting for the trade in to be confirmed
    z-axis's avatar
Give them a ring and confirm first, for s22 ultra it took 6 months for me for trading
  14. PabloEsco's avatar
Just updating.. trade in completed.. they accepted a crappy old Nokia from 2002! Took a gamble there but they don't seem to be bothered. Happy days!.
  15. Katro16's avatar
    Still cheaper direct via samsung.
    3LeggedDog's avatar
How? As far as I can see samsung only does £150 trade in from £1299 price. And if you add screen protectors it gets 10% off but it is still £984
    You know something we dont?
  16. ilias252's avatar
This offers no extra benefit compared to the offer on the Samsung website that has been on for a few days now. Arguably, the offer on Samsung is better as can trade pretty much any phone while the same doesn't apply for this deal or the amazon deal. (edited)
    3LeggedDog's avatar
how to get samsung website down to £949?
  17. dave1343's avatar
Just find someone who works at BT? Much cheaper.
  18. john...'s avatar
All they now need to do now is unlock the bootloader like they previously did with the inferior chip. Add the sd card slot and headphone jack and they would wipe most of the pixel market out
    3LeggedDog's avatar
why do you need an sd card slot when you have 512gb onboard and much faster storage?

(used £150 off voucher) + (£150 enhanced trade for old screen smashed phone from 6 years back) + (10% discount for buying case) (+ 37 TCB cashback which has tracked) + (47.94 worth of free 6 month disney) + (220 trade in with another company for my current note 10 plus)

also create or log into your samsung account you get points for discounts against future items.

= Galaxy S23 Ultra with Silicone Case for Galaxy S23 Ultra (best case, if the cashback, vouchers and phones are accepted) total price £570.58.

Then there is the extra value of the free upgrade to 512gb and 12gb of ram from samsung. if you account for the enhanced trade in value, voucher and extras it's actually a decent deal compared to the last couple of launch years.

Plus my note 10 plus is three generations behind so a decent upgrade for me :). (edited)
    ohsomeonenew's avatar
What is 220 trade in? Is it like music magpie? I found that the difference is around 60 pounds for me. I contacted them if they can refund the difference but they are not agreeing. Only option I have is to reorder but they already have my trade in IMEI so I will have to find another phone to trade in.

These phones are heavily discounted, to say they haven't even released yet. ?

Samsung does this every single year when they release a phone to allow people to upgrade to the newest shiny thing.

Did anyone else notice the overheating level while charging on s23 U? I literally took my phone off from the charger to find out it is super hot.

urgh, ordered mine a couple days ago - is there any chance they lower my price if I mention there's a different code they haven't been advertising?
    QPRcelona's avatar
If not then cancel and reorder if you have funds? Don't lose money. If you know someone who gets employment perks you can purchase gift cards that also give extra discount on top.

128gb and 256gb both £849 (prior to using code) seems odd. I was hoping for some better offers, either money off or addition of some perk
  36. tim.gibbons's avatar
Not a bad deal there also offering extra £150 on trade ins. I can get £425 for a s21 ultra taking it down to £549 then 5% discount with perksatwork £521 total (edited)

    3LeggedDog's avatar
Yeah but ee or bt are obviously subsidising that for their employees
