Lovely hotel in a good position. Think the pool will be too cold to use but great views.
It is right by the bus terminal so no need to hire a car. Just get the 10 ticket card from the off licence opposite it. Two people can use the same card. (edited)

At the risk of sounding negative, if you're going to go to Malta in winter I'd suggest staying in the south of the island near Valetta. This is a beach resort but it won't be beach weather in February. Yes, there is a bus service but it's a long ride to the places that are less weather dependent.

Not negative, but useful information. There has to be a reason it's so cheap...

It's funny sayings it's 4* cos I just been on the site and it says the hotel official rating is 3* so it's dropped a star before you even set off lolol

Literally just got back from here on Saturday. Great holiday. Booked our own trip. Met with storm Helios. Was fun otherwise

I'm going next week, looking like 17 so not too bad. Not going there to sunbathe obv so should be great with a rental car

I'm off also, looking forward to seeing the sites but I have no car, I can still get around well yes?

We arrived  at the Luna Holiday Complex in Mellieha on 2nd Jan for 8 weeks and the weather has been great. Had a couple of rainy days and the storm last week but apart from that it’s been sunbathing weather most days. People have been swimming in the sea and our rooftop pool is open but it’s not heated so a bit chilly

What is the Luna Holiday Complex like? I’ve looked at it and seen very mixed reviews

Guess the sea will be too cold for a swim?

Yeah probably, but would be a great trip of you rented a car etc.

Pool won't be open. There's an extensive bus service, but it's terribly busy since they made it free for all the locals and there's so many more cars in Malta thesedays that the traffic is awful.

    None of the pools?

We have planned to go on 1st week of April combining with our cruise holiday and staying in Malta near Mellieha just for 2 days. Does anyone know if the water in the beach be warm enough for a swim at that time? If it is, can someone please recommend a good shallow and sandy beach for the kids to play? Thanks.
