Stack at the end of the gardening aisle simply had a £5 price label, but got reduced to £9 when I went through the checkout.
There was a split open bag, with some compost spilt out, it looked ok. I guess all compost now is going to include a sizeable proportion of composted garden waste. This will lead to variable quality, depending on content and how well it's been composted.
Any signs of excess twigs or plastic etc
Even my usual favs which are normally soft and fluffy have had some chunks of unbroken matter in them, especially the bags I got last year.
I've had this compost from Wilko before and it was ok. Average quality with a few twigs and bits in it. Didn't have any issues with finding plastic in it but that was a few years ago and quality control seems to have dropped recently across most brands.
Edit - I would still buy Wilko compost over Lidl, Aldi or other supermarket compost. (edited)
However, now all compost is peat-free I'm sure we've seen the last of good compost.
I think most of the compost last year were bad due to lockdown conditions in the previous years.
Wilko also sell Miracle grow compost 50l for £4.50
I don't see the 2 for £8 offer, was this instore?
