Can it fill the kettle? So not smart. Dumb like the posers that'll buy it.

Personally, I can see the draw. Mainly because I don’t drink tea and my wife regularly asks me to make her tea. That means leaving the room and standing by the kettle for 3 minutes while it boils. If I could see how much water was in there and tell it to boil before I left the room - chances of me making her a cup of tea have just increased 75% Price wise it’s not awful, a Bosch kettle or a decent Delonghi or even a Morphy Richards normal kettle is around that sort of money. Unless you just want a bog standard white plastic one.

My normal kettle is connected to a smart plug that cost me less than a fiver.

What kettle is that please ,most kettles still need you to flick the button down manually?

At the end of the day, this is a good price compared to anywhere else. Whether anyone thinks a kettle is worth £80 isn't the point.

Very harsh on the OP, voted hot.

Alexa: sorry theres no water in the kettle

Making your hot drinks at home? What a ghastly idea! I thought everyone round here only drank free Costa/Nero/Greggs

I don't often laugh out aloud. An Alexa kettle? What were they thinking?
