This deal is EXTREMELY tempting, but it's Currys... If any of these TVs develop problems, GOOD LUCK getting a repair at any point, nevermind after one year. Currys always advertise their TVs as 5-year warranties, but from everything I've read about them, they will outright lie and refuse that it has a 5-year warranty, regardless of what their site says at the time of sale. These practices are immoral, but that is Currys/PC World for you. The only way to cover yourself with this is to contact Currys before sale and make them confirm in writing that a 5 year warranty will be offered on the product. If not... You will probably have to go down the lenghty Ombudsman act under the consumer rights act of 2015, which will take an extended time, and you'll be without a TV for months. With this considered, as good as the 'deal' is, I have zero confidence in Currys aftercare to ensure I have a reliable and working product for as long as the warranty post-sale, and the slightly extra price on Richer Sounds or John Lewis might be worth the stress-free piece of mind. What I've said might be worth a thought and consideration

Exactly, and even with something in writing Currys online/telephone customer service is among the worst I've experienced, right up there with Samsung online store and Virgin Media for poor customer support. Currys I've found almost never follow though on anything they promise you or ever get back to you when they say they will be back in touch.
Absolutely would pay a bit more to buy big purchases elsewhere, nowhere perfect but Richer Sounds and John Lewis like you mentioned are among the better ones in my experience. Richer Sounds probably better customer service but their warranty I think depreciates over time what it owes you, if replacing rather than repairing, based on use already had from the TV.
John Lewis I'm told generally cover the cost throughout of like for like replacement even if newer model by then, however they are 5 years vs RS 6 years. John Lewis also only retailer that offer optional burn in cover on OLEDS, if you feel you'd want it can buy their accidental damage cover (usually a one off either £90 or £150 on TV's) that gives 5 years accidental damage and burn in cover in addition to warranty.
But yes I second the opinion that both likely to be far better to deal with than Currys. (edited)

Goddammit, couldn't order from the site, called and managed to get a woman to fill in the order and after 10 minutes, just before payment, curry's amazing tech disconnects both of us. Tried calling it again and out of stock! 😡

It's not out of stock, they just realized their error and removed the deal entirely. I strongly doubt any of these orders made will be delivered, so don't worry, and if anything, you've saved yourself potentially losing £999 (if there is a glitch in their system and you get charged but the order doesn't go through), or waiting day/s or weeks to get your money back.

I do think Currys intended for one of these LG C2's to be £999, but it absolutely WAS NOT the C2 55, or the 65, or 83.

    Hi,

Thanks for ordering your product with us.

We’re so sorry, but there was a mix-up on our end that means we can’t send you the tech you ordered.

Don’t worry though, we’ve cancelled your order and sorted out a refund for you. Your money should be back in your account in the next 3-5 days.

    Get in touch

When it comes to tech, there's no such thing as a silly question. If you want to ask us something about your order (or anything else) contact us here.

Hope to see you again soon,

There was still a 65" version in stock when I looked a minute ago.

Looks like they put a lot of their old bundles to £999 when they're trying not to sell them or their OOS. Few others showing if you search "Xbox Series Bundle" on their website.

Seems a Currys glitch as the same price on 65 & 83 inch. Other posts on here showing this. Tried to bag 65 inch but couldn't get past delivery details. Amazing if honoured for those who ordered.

Yeah the 65" is sat in my basket but keeps glitching on the delivery date. The offer was obviously suppose to be just for the 55" but they messed up.

Its still a great deal. The TV alone is usually £1090

I think the 5 year warranty is BS - Currys online rep is telling me its with LG but LG do not offer a 5 year warranty on the C series. Might cancel my order - Currys seem to be lying about the warranty

Yep, Currys is one of THE WORST electronics stores where you can purchase a long-length product from. A simple search of 'Currys reviews' on google flags back extremely dire ratings.

Their aftercare is non-existent, no matter how tempting some of their deals can be at times.

For piece of mind, Richer Sounds (absolute best in the business customer service, with awesome 6 year warranties, which they honour, on all TVs) or John Lewis (less to be admired, not as good as they used to be but they still honour warranties) might be worth the extra price just for a stress-free piece of mind for the full duration of the warranty they state at the time of purchase, unlike Currys...
