Bought a couple of these last month and I'd say they are worth about this price.

They are made of flimsy metal that you can easily bend with your fingers and it makes assembly interesting. Once assembled they are OK but they are certainly not heavy duty. The guy who delivered my two sets was carrying both in his arms so that gives you an idea of the weight/quality.

The guy that delivered mine took a photo of them on the door step then took them away

Put 4 sets of these together recently, as said they're very thin metal and not very heavy once assembled so can finish up a bit warped but straighten out once loaded with stuff. The hardboard shelving panels are absolute garbage. Worth the price but only for fairly light use.

Have two of these and I'd also say they are great value product. Easy to put together and pretty solid once the shelves are filled. As mentioned in previous post you should apply MDF sealer on the shelf panels as they will be susceptible to mold if your garage has damp

Was going to mention this. Mine went mouldy this winter.

They are okay for the money but the "wood" that comes with them for the shelving is trash. Got a local timberyard to cut me some sheets of 9mm ply and cost me around £35 to replace 10 shelves across 2 racks. Well worth doing as it made them sturdier as well.

Please can you tell me, in the absence of 'to size', if you had them cut so you could transport them in your car so you could cut them to size yourself, or did you get them to cut all the sheets to size and it was simply a case of you popping them in (or painting them).

    Thank you!

I would say that the two above reviews are pretty harsh. I've got two of these and the corner unit and I've packed them all full of stuff and think they're perfect. Certainly for the money they are unbelievable value. I'm not sure what you should expect for £30 right? I'd certainly say that they are as good as ones that I've seen at twice the price in Homebase and B&Q.

The bucket on the other hand is useful (broke on me with about five buckets worth). Find something else to for the discount code.

I agree with you, they're good value for what they are. I've got 2 Bigdug racks (heavier duty) and 2 of these in my garage, and considering they're nearly a 1/3rd of the price I'd say the Halfords ones do the job nicely. I've mounted mine to the wall as my floor is a little uneven and they weren't as sturdy, but I'm happy with them. (edited)

Does anyone know the key difference to these and the heavy duty ones they have for sale?

I got two and assembled them yesterday, they are very poor quality and I do not recommend. I would certaintly not put anyway near 175 kg on them, fortunately the things I need to store are light, just lego sets and other toys so they'll do. Wouldn't fancy storing my tools on them though.
