For anyone that purchases from Hamilton some personal advice. If you have an issue and need to send off for a repair under warranty make sure you take a pic of your warranty card before sending out off with your watch.
They claimed my warranty card was never sent and wanted to charge me a few hundred, luckily I had a pic to send them.

Use the code Extra10 to bring the price down to £516.60. Trying to resist buying one as I really don't need another watch!

I've had one sitting in a basket since I found that out. My last unnecessary watch purchase hasn't even arrived so I'm trying hard not to click buy for the shiny thing.

Is that the 38 or 42?

Bought Arrived today & it's lovely. Slender, well made and stylish. My 3rd no-date watch, which I think is becoming favourite. Only issue now is finding a strap for it as the one supplied is very stiff. At some point I will get a Forstner Klip and see if that works. Thanks OP.

Shame they didn't keep the morse code, on the second hand with the 38mm. (edited)

Wow, Hamiltons prices have jumped up a bit. I paid £400 for a 38mm khaki field automatic in June last year and they're now around £700!
    MildmanneredCalvin's avatar
If your description is accurate then that's a 75% price increase

Hamiltons have all gone up in price lately, so it’s nice to see the Murph (especially the 38mm) still around at the typical offer price.

Love the Murph, but even at this price, hard to justify the spend. Nice deal though. Heat.

Interesting. Is there a similar priced (£600-900) watch you'd recommend over this one? Or is it just more of the principle of paying hundreds of pounds for a watch (...which is a fair cop)?

Lovely watch and a solid buy. Heat from me.

Heat for the price. This, or the Seiko 62MAS reissue SPB147J1? (edited)
    Kato_MV's avatar
I have the 62MAS and used to own 2 Hamiltons a while ago.
Seiko feels more premium in respect to the case and dial design, hands and lume.
The Hamilton cases and straps/ bracelets are made in Asia and the finishing is just average.
The Hamilton movement should be more accurate.

Wow, some watches haven't half gone up in price. The Khaki King Auto I bought about 5 years ago was only £325. I know that's how inflation goes, not to mention everything else that's taken place since. But it's still a surprise all the same.
  13. klaus.basingher's avatar
so how accurate is this watch likely to be?
  14. dj_stoobin's avatar
Would've bitten if it was the 42mm

Is this expired? How do you get the price?
    crazyfacedziggler's avatar
Yes, looks to have gone back up to RRP.
