Any l good as an home office monitor?

For the home office don't buy this. Trying to dual screen is a nightmare and I remotely connect to some systems and the resolution if I split screen is never right. I've literally stopped using this and I've gone back to using 2 separate monitors.

Same it’s awesome. Got it for a few quid under this from overchargers believe it or not.

What kind of graphic card can power this monitor. Such a big resolution

It's fewer pixels than 4K (edited)

Still not enough OLED options on PC. Quite surprising really. You'd think LG would want to corner this market.

Because PC monitors are far more susceptible to burn in. (edited)

I know the specs aren’t quite as high (CRG9) but so glad I got my 49 Sammy UW for £510 about a year ago. An amazing screen (I’m not a gamer) and I’d struggle to be without it

Not sure I’d pay almost double though

    First world problems

Also, damn u got a 49" UW for £510...now that is a bargain!

I have one question though, why are your desktop icons absolutely massive lol?

I found this monitor earlier and was looking at it. I think I caused it to go on sale hehe!

I remember when this or the then version was released really wanted one but read so many quality control issues of poor adhesive and it coming apart like a dodgy Gregg's Baguette . LG have entered the market with a similar one I noticed. Hot though as I love an Ultrawide and can imagine this being awesome. (edited)

Yeah, my AGON UW has far better build quality than my Samsung one did. Doesn't do 240hz though 😄 (edited)

Had mine from 25 November 2020 and still works great.
With powertoys You can have as many split screens as You want to.

Have a ''LG C9 55inch OLED'' and a 34inch 21.9 Ultrawide, my next buy will be an OLED monitor. Wouldn't waste nearly a grand on an LED?. Go figure.

I own one of these. Before I had two 27" IPS @ 160Hz+. The G9 in inferior in almost every way with the exception of when playing games designed for ultrawide. The rest of the time, the HDR setting in windows makes everything blurred, when using the duel screen mode it reverts to 60Hz max. Thankfully I never sold my other monitors and will be reverting back. I can't recommend the G9.

No you can do 120hz dual displays I do it all the time, did you check your settings on the individual pc's/mac's

    I know it's huge, and 240Hz, but...a grand for a VA panel?
Would rather get a 55" 4K OLED TV that would double as a monitor, lol! (edited)

Ordered it Jan 22, cost less on Samsung website, great picture quality, but it came with scratched and bend bezel, sent it back and got 38" LG

It totally depends on what you use your monitor for but it’s a great fit for none design related work. For text based productivity this thing is the best money I’ve ever spent (though got it for less in a Samsung sale). There are a few occasional glitches where have to turn it off and on using the power nub. It’s also a great option for anyone with a none Pro MacBook with Apple silicon as they can only drive one display (some workarounds are available). I actually run it at 60hz mostly for compatibility with my usb c logidock but you can use it up to 240hz. Monitor arms that support it are expensive but it’s been great in combination with a standing desk in a small spare room. (edited)

Great price and an awesome monitor. I have the Neo version which is pretty similar but much more money. Running a 3080 without any issue. For work you can't beat it.

If you can gain access to Samsung's partnership program through your employment you can get this for £949 which has actually gone up from when I bought it a year or so ago, I paid £890.
