After seeing the recent Amazon deal for 24 rolls @ £8.77 I thought I'd take a gamble with home bargains and stumbled across 32 rolls for £9.49 which seems pretty reasonable.

168 sheets per roll
32 rolls
3 ply

Granted it's in store only. Seen at the Hartlepool store.

Didn't see a 32 pack in there when I was last taking pictures - unless you mean the 24 pack at £6.99.

    From here. (12th March)

    Aldi:

    Fabulosa Super Roll 3-ply, Cotton Fresh x 12 - £9.29
    ("equivalent to 24 rolls")

Saxon Softest Toilet Tissue 3-ply Fresh Apple Fragranced Core x 9 - £3.49

    Saxon Softest Premium Toilet Tissue 3-ply x 24 - £6.99
    i.imgur.com/giG…peg

    Saxon Softer Luxury 2-ply x 9 - £3.29
(2-ply isn't luxury, to me, but, hey ho)
    i.imgur.com/xD4…jpg

Saxon Softest Quilted x 9 (think this is 3-ply, can't see it mentioned on the packs or website, other variants of the Softest suggest so) - £3.39
    i.imgur.com/3Xl…jpg

    Saxon Soft White 2-ply x 9 - £2.25
("Same Number Of Sheets, Smaller Tube")
    i.imgur.com/cyB…jpg

    Saxon Softest Aloe Vera 3-ply x 4 - £1.79
(Note: some packs of these say the number of ply on the pack, others don't - maybe newer ones?)

    Saxon Softest Coconut Oil or Aloe Vera 3-ply x 9 - £3.39
    i.imgur.com/dML…jpg

    Saxon Softer Luxury 2-ply x 4 - £1.69
    i.imgur.com/lmo…jpg

Everyday Essentials Toilet Tissue x 6 (ply is a mystery, but may be 2-ply) - £1.99
(says they are "double rolls = equivalent to 12 regular rolls")

    Home Bargains:

    Nicky Elite 3-ply x 18 - £5.49

    Nicky Elite 3-ply x 4 - £1.65
    Nicky Supreme 3-ply x 12 £4.49
(not sure which Nicky Supreme size the £4.99 shelf label refers to, can't zoom in on it properly)

    Andrex Gentle Clean (Puppies On A Roll) 2-ply x 9 - £4.99

Farmfoods are a ripoff at the moment.they are more expensive than the big 4 supermarkets.
They are constantly increasing prices on everything on a weekly basis.I understand prices have gone up on everything but farmfoods are exploiting it to a new level.

Farmfoods is a grim place, unbelivable they are still on the go, belong in the 90's

Anyone remember about a year ago when 4 x Little Duck were £10! Now £22 at FarmFoods....!

Yes, but that was around 2 years ago they've been £22 for ages. Savers sell them too for £5.49 so work out the same price. (edited)

These comments are embarrassing - do you think these products are produced without energy being used? Have you forgotten that energy prices have doubled - it affects manufacturers too you know, which in turn has to be reflected in retail prices.

I think most people are aware of the cost of living crisis - it's not unusual to discuss prices and value on a site called Hotukdeals, surely.

Always get it at this price at home bargains. No idea why the amazon deal went so hot when it’s actually a pretty bad deal in comparison.

Works out a lot more expensive than HB! Assuming Amazon get some sort of kickbacks, hence the ridiculous heat every single ‘deal’ gets!

Same price in Wrexham. I was stood in the isle with my calculator working out the best value pack, and ended up discussing price, and quality with a very nice lady who was telling me all about why she couldn't use the stuff with lotion because she was allergic. Its amazing the people you meet out shopping, and how much they tell you about their private lives with no encouragement lol!

I appreciate that fuel etc has gone up recently and everything is changing (increasing) in price but there has been some flipping big jumps in price on loo roll (and everything else) over the last 18m or so. And, while I do realise that manufacturers have to put up their prices to cover their increased bills, I just don't believe the increases have to be this high. We are all being very accepting and understanding about this issue, but I am sure the profit hungry manufacturers are loving it - the perfect opportunity to not only cover rising costs but also a add little bit extra profit as well, while the customer is being all kind and accepting... I am not saying all manufacturers are doing this, but the ones that are are probably rubbing their hand in glee. The perfect opportunity for more profit without turning the customer against them or damaging their brand.... (edited)

I normally buy from Home Bargains or Savers in Glasgow but it's just not as easy when in a rural area, which is likely why the Amazon Deal got so hot!

These Nicky toilet rolls got a back-handed complement from a HB checkout lady years ago who was not impressed by them -
    " They block the toilet , don't they "

This is brilliant paper. Some saying theres cheaper in Aldi etc, it's totally not the same. Just because another brand is 3-ply I guarantee it wont be the same thickness as this. The ply number is almost irrelevant if each ply has a thickness of 0.0001mm

Inflation as measured in toilet rolls. Looks like wide availability and prices becoming reasonable, is the internal inflationary fire slowly dying out ?
