Good, old Cadisen C1032 Offers great spec for that price, you get Sapphire crystal and a well known Seiko NH35 movement (Seiko offers that movement in own watches under 4R35 / 4R36 name). To get that price, change the price shown in Ali to $ and pay with currency card like Revolut or Monzo. Ali charges a hidden 4-5% in any other currency than $. Use code LowcyChinAN3 as well.

A little unsure from the pics on Ali, they're not consistent, but does anyone know whether the calendar will be in English or in Chinese characters?

You have got both English and Chinese on the wheel. But you set one language.

Bought OP, thanks. How would watch warranty work for this?

I'm afraid you would have to send it back to China, which is pointless with such low quality item, as cost of transport would be like £25-30. Fortunately NH35 is very reliable, so most likely you won't have to worry about warranty.
If it's dead on arrival or you just dont like it, you've got 15 days free return here. That return is for free and Ali pays for parcel cost. It goes to London warehouse. (edited)

That is cheap for NH35a watch, thought I was doing well at £60, albeit with a good quality stainless bracelet. Mine is better quality than a £150 Seiko, so best of both worlds. The NH31a can be regulated to improve the timing and I suspect that some of the Chinese companies do this, others don't - mine is plus or minus 5 seconds, it is supposed to be plus or minus 30 seconds ex factory so will be a bit of a lottery otherwise. If you want a quartz movement that looks like an automatic (second hand moves smoothly), search for Seiko VH31, another movement that the Chinese use, that should be super accurate.

Always suspected that Ali had different pricing for different countries, not just currency variations. A couple of days left of Ali's anniversary sale with roughly twenty percent off plus other discounts so worth a look.

Heat added, first order from Ali so saved a bit more

I'd seen on another thread someone saying it comes with additional straps, is this true?
    Rumcajs_9's avatar

Last time I received it on a metal bracelet but there was a leather strap in the box too. It wasn't a great quality obviously, but still for free. The leather strap on my photos above were bought seperately. (edited)

Cadisen watches generally get decent reviews, Guanqin as well (same sort of price point). Steeldive are a tier up. The Watchuseek Best Of Ali-Xpress thread is worth a read if you're unsure what to buy during their sales.

I have had - mixed - experiences with Aliexpress customer service. Notable ones being a pack of glass screen protectors, a few arrived smashed, and the seller gave me a partial refund of pennies, even though I submitted photos and proof. Aliexpress kept saying they'd resolve it and email back and never did.

Bought "OFC = oxygen free copper" speaker cable which turned out to be Copper Clad Aluminium (not apparent until after I'd purchased and reviews started coming in). Sent screenshots, pictures, Aliexpress even had me scraping the wire strands to prove it was aluminium and I got precisely nowhere. £28 or so down the drain. (edited)

Mine arrived and I am quite pleased with it.

    Does it take 20mm straps?
  8. dbb298's avatar
Mine just arrived. I dithered as I thought it looked the price looks suspiciously cheap but after reading lots of positive comments I bought after the March sale ended. It originally went up to £100 but it went down to about £40 and I ended up getting the watch and a strap for £50 including delivery and tax.

The watch looks very nice and feels nice quality. I hope it ages well as I find good quality watches can still look sparkling brand new even after a few years. My strap is yet to arrive but hopefully just a few days away.

I went for this strap in red-brown.

You are basically buying a Seiko.

It's bad enough when folk say things like, someone buying a Skoda is basically buying an Audi, but you just took that kind of logic to a whole new level. (edited)

    Insane value

It is when you think that Seiko sticks this exact movement in their watches and charges £300 plus lol

Made in China... I only buy a watch made in The Great Britain.... Just like my chickens in Tesco

This looks really nice. I'm suspicious at the low price which is putting me off buying it. Will think about it!

Got loads of watches of Ali just do it amazing value

Bought because this is cheaper than I can get an NH36 otherwise. £50 from Cousins delivered. Got stung buying one from Ali Express last year because when measured it was obviously in dire need of a service. Cadisen are respectable enough though & this will be fine.

Got one of these a couple of months ago - been great! The metal strap is very shiny though but pop it on a leather strap and it looks very smart (IMO)

    Thanks for posting Runcajs_9.

Ordered white (silver) dial option, black was oos. I think site showed just a handful of white available when I pulled the trigger.

Hopefully I am impressed with it as others seem to be.

Opted for the leather straps you posted link for, think they were just over £5 plus taxes.

Hopefully not too onerous a task removing the bracelet.

Given the movement in this I could imagine a certain shopping TV channel selling it for way more and bigging up the brand and design. (edited)

Have both black and silver really good watches so much watch snobbery it's a joke these days. Strap OK if you can handle chrome but stick it on a leather and boom awesome

I pay this much using Monzo flex. Paid in $. Great find. Heat...
    Rumcajs_9's avatar

This is what I suggest, to always change the price to $ and pay with Monzo. But HUkD requires to show the price in £ as not everybody has got Monzo or Starling cards.

Has anyone purchased watches from Shein? I'm aware the movement on the watches won't be good as this one but I prefer the look of them but unsure if it's really bad quality etc.

Cheers, OP, just paid £34.88 via PayPal (could have paid in 3 monthly instalments, but think I can manage that lump sum this month!). Not a first timer with AE, either. However, I have just added to the Chinese war chest, I suppose... (edited)
