The reason unbiased gamers had issue with the game was that the game as planned was very different than the game as released (like Dying Light 2), and an experienced gamer will note all the compromises and changes that were made in the last year of development to get the game out of the door. These changes definitely impacted the ambition of the gameplay- the faction system really being dialed back storywise (just as happened with DL2).
But as a straightforward open world game, the world has great visuals and design, the cut-scenes earnestly tell a unique story, and my only issue was how drawn out everything seemed- would have liked the story mode to have been perhaps 30% faster- like a film of 2 hours that you wish had the same story in 90mins.
PS the bike mechanic I really liked, but you must use it in the spirit of the game design, not against it.
And I wouldn't want to be a Sony studio working under these new conditions, honestly, unless you're working for a 'chosen one' developer like Naughty Dog with a blank check. (edited)
As for 'stealth'- that is one option of gameplay, but there are many others as usual. If you hated stealth, why on Earth did you use it?
I played about half and I really wanted to enjoy it , but visually it hurt my eyes (I think because of the ps4's checkerboard upscaling, I really didn't like it), the state of performance/bugs at release, and the filling up the bike all the time.
Thankfully I've been waiting for the price to drop so I can truly enjoy it on PC 😁
Why punish the devs by making them work on a sequel when they could tell a different story with new gameplay elements?
On the original PS4 it had some performance issues... once you upgrade the bike enough it goes too fast and the console struggles to load the environment.
We regret that we are unable to process your order. We are not able to tell you specifically why the order failed, but it could be due to one or more of the following reasons:
Absolutely bizarre. Support say there is nothing they can do - they can't tell why it has failed. Has anyone been able to buy this? (edited)
Umming and arrgh’ing about spending £8.50…
Blows £20 on lottery tickets! 🙈🙈🙈 haha
I wish CDKeys wasn’t so spontaneous with their price shifts! 🥹 (edited)
