The screen is listed as 720p on the listing but based on similar deals on here, people have been lucky and got 1080p screens. This laptop model comes with both. Obviously we must assume that it's 720p and anything better will be a bonus.

sorted byEdit: I've been told mine will arrive on Tuesday. Depending on what time it arrives of course, I'll do my best to confirm which screen it is before the deal ends, in case it's a deal breaker for someone. As we've already said, it's still an amazing deal with the 720p screen :-)
Edit edit: has posted that he has managed to get 1080p (see his comment below in this thread). I must stress we can't 'expect' it but based on the many comments I've seen on deals similar to this, it seems plausible. (edited)
First laptop DOA - boot loops and flickering screen. Back it went.
Replacement laptop - janky reprinted keyboard (euro layout with UK keys), LCD scratched in multiple places, and faulty trackpad.
Whilst not a positive experience, I can commend them for their customer service, which was top notch - polite, friendly and efficient regarding the replacement and then subsequent refund. (edited)
It's a great size and battery life seems to be at least 4 hours. Also ordered a Windows 10 home model but put W10 Pro onto it which activated fine and have then set up a dual-boot to Linux. For £150 (or it seems now less given this deal!) I can hardly imagine why 90% of users would buy any other device, absolutely astounding value for money.
I've purchased two laptops from previous deals on here and they've both gone back - keyboard not working on the first and obviously damaged screen and bezel on the second. QA is clearly poor.
On the positive side I've had refunds both times without any hassle (it just takes a while).
They also seem to use something that contains methylated spirit to clean the laptops which they don't mind letting their kit reek of before sending it off to you.
Because of the lack of QA, I have a hard time going for a third try even though the prices are good. Maybe I've just been unlucky.
I'm not saying don't buy, I'm saying be careful and check EVERYTHING when you get it.
Were you purchases listed under the 'very good' category?
Re: meth spirit its industry standard to use something containing a very high alcohol content (usually isopropyl alcohol). Better than smelling of fags I guess? Lol. (edited)
I don’t think I can complain guys. Keyboard looks brand new.
720p screen, non backlit though unfortunately.
It does have a 4G modem though!
Genuine charger. 3496 power on hours according to the SSD.
Few light marks on the lid.
Even ignoring the "tem" incompetence, the concept that two sentences of drivel can sidestep legislation is hilarious.
So a polite reminder to chancers such as this vendor:
if your tat becomes busted prematurely, the merchant covers all costs to resolve, including shipping both ways,
unless you (the merchant) can cite exemption to statutory legislation, which you cannot.
No screen blemishes that I can see so far. Top and base are very good - no major marks.
There is a fairly noticeable scrape at bottom left. Irritating but probably nothing more. Touchpad has signs of use. Suspect keyboard is a reprint but it looks neat.
Definitely only 768 resolution but as others have said that should help with battery life. Battery may only be 73% capacity based on sticker on base. I'm a little worried about the battery which has gone from claiming 7 hours remaining to 5h26 remaining in about 5 minutes of simply browsing, so I'm going to keep an eye on that. Official Lenovo 65W USB C charger though which in itself is worth about £30 I think.
Has a slightly odd smell as referred to in another post but not over-powering. Fan is unobtrusive so far (in fact, barely on).
Screen panel not great but does the job.
It's a little heavier than I expected but I'm used to a Galaxy Book Pro.
I'm not wowed by it but at the end of the day it's a 5 year old laptop. It's clearly massively faster than the desperate (but actually newer) Celeron N4000 laptop it's replacing for a teenager, and at the end of the day if she's happy with it that's great. Still not convinced that the scuff is "minimal wear". That said the rest of it seems to be in good nick.
Just going to keep an eye on that battery... It's gone down further since I've been writing.

Then check the battery health = go to DEVICE > DEVICE SETTINGS > POWER
Click on SEE BATTERY DETAILS and you can check the Design Capacity (original capacity) and the current Full Charge Capacity. it will also tell you how often the battery was charged (Cycle Count)
For using office and basic stuff like that 8GB is ample (I've had my current one for about 8 years and have no issue with 8GB). I usually have a couple of internet explorers, excel, outlook etc open at the same time. Obviously, requirements depend on the individual. Hopefully you can find the right deal for you.
I ended up receiving this model with 256GB and a FHD screen. Also in pristine condition with around 93% battery health.
It seems to be pot luck on what you receive, but I'd say there's a decent chance you'll get the FHD one, but don't go in expecting that.
Laptop itself is very snappy when running an Zorin OS and all functionality seems to work as expected. (edited)

Quite a few deals with the same seller have been posted since I spotted this one originally
That US layout would have been a non starter for me. Shame about the screen.
The feedback is slightly concering so far.
1. Install the Windows 10 ISO onto a memory stick
2. Change the SSD (you may need to disable the interal battery when you are doing it
3. Boot up the laptop on the memory stick and install windows.
4. when i did it, it took the serial number for windows off the monther board
5. Job done.
You can also clone the existing hard drive to the new one but on thinkpad's i do the process above.
I'll report back anyway on condition and screen resolution.
Selling landfill for £136, nice if you can get away with it
If everything seems good apart from the bottom left scuff, that's probably fair to call it minimal wear cumulatively imho. But that's subjective. Your summary seemed very fair. (edited)
A non-1080P screen is fine for us, it's only a small 12.5" so doesn't really need to be much more?! (edited)
if that happens would that means the entire main board had to be replaced?
When people talk about non upgradeble RAM it's always to do with either liking the deal but wanting to improve the spec to suit their needs, or more to do with future proofing. I've not seen it as a cause for concern with potential failure before.
You'd be very unfortunate for the ram to fail before coming to the end of its natural life. Unless kept on charge 100% of the time, the battery is most likely to be the reason to upgrade years down the line. (edited)
Post the specs and let's have a look.
I’m hoping for FHD…
The anti reflective layer is damaged and you can see the white bit when it when switched on.
Unfortunetely right in the middle of the screen too.
If it wasn't for that, it does show signs of use but would be acceptable.
To quote...
Very Good - RefurbishedLaptop will have minor wear to the lid and palm rest, and may have minor scratches/marks around the surface. There will be no physical damage to the laptop.
Is the display FHD? Is the keyboard backlit?
Appreciate both are unlikely.
That way we can build up a good picture of how reliable the seller is with their descriptions.
I'll put mine on either tonight or tomorrow. So far:
Parcelforce actually did a good job, although it was extremely well packed. You could literally have thrown the package against a wall and I don't think it would suffer any damage.
The sticker on it did say 720 but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. At this point if I had to guess though, it may well be. Unfortunately I didn't have time to test it as I needed to get to work. I was happy with the overall condition of it. Lenovo plastics are fantastic, scratches hardly show on it at all. Whilst there were lots of marks and very light scratches on the top, they're not noticeable unless you look about 30cm away. The screen is perfect. Overall I'd say 'refurbished - very good' is an accurate description of what I got.
I did notice on the label they put on it (the same one that said 720), it also said 92%. I do wonder if this is referring to the battery. If so a technician has probably tested the specs. (edited)
Just in case anyone missed out and they get some more stock in by the 26th....
Great little laptop though, I use an Thinkpad L490 for work but much prefer the portability of the X280.
I have used the ones found on Kitchen cupboards for now until I find some more OEM looking rectangular ones, like the feet it has on the base.
However, while this is not the reason I returned it (it wouldn't have been a legitimate reason given I knew what sort of screen it was when I bought it), I have to say the screen was terrible. If you buy this having used even an IPS screen, let alone OLED, you will find it very jarring. Also missed backlit keyboard.
(I'm often sceptical when people post claiming poor screen etc and think they're just being fussy. I stand corrected.) (edited)
