Good price, and for once it's not a 1080p gaming monitor deal.

I do wish they'd just ditch the whole "gaming" branding on these monitors though, along with the silly polygonal stand designs, brash logos, and RGB lighting. It's utter cringe.

Just a simple, understated design, a well designed stand, and a high refresh rate is perfect for the everyday consumer, whether you game or not.

Currently, you're practically forced into silly "gaming monitor" territory if you're after a refresh rate above 60Hz.

On one hand I understand the frustration, on the other... I think you're being a bit overdramatic. Dell's gaming monitors look almost the same as their office models. In regards to stands... a lot of us will put them on monitor arms anyway and you can get a decent single arm for about £25 that will look cleaner than any stand. (edited)

How are curved monitors in a dual monitor setup?

    Nice deal, voted hot

Personally I'm holding out for IPS, waiting for Dell S2721DGFA or LG 27GP850-B to go on sale again

I think the Dell one may have been discontinued, Dell no longer sell it on their own website and the only place with any new ones in stock are Amazon third party sellers

Ha! I've hovered over that for the last few days! Wanted a 1440.

Nice, also available at Laptops Direct and a little bit more expensive (but not much) at Amazon (with their returns, I'd pay the little extra and get it there myself). (edited)

Box also have Philips Momentum 5000 27M1N5500ZA 27" QHD IPS FreeSync Premium 170Hz, not curved, 1440,for 309. Would people recommend this?

Looks decent based on this review: totalgamingaddicts.com/phi…ew/

I'm also looking for a 27" 1440p monitor, but in this case I was put off by "If you do most of your viewing in a dark room or playing games/watching movies with a lot of dark scenes you may be better catered for by a display with better handling of its black levels"

How does this compare to the odyssey G5? If it's equal, I might return it and get this instead

once you've seen in 1440p, going back to 1080p is very difficult, even if it means sacrificing the FPS, that's what you gotta do.

Nice deal, shame my PC isn't strong enough for 1440 (edited)
