sorted byI do wish they'd just ditch the whole "gaming" branding on these monitors though, along with the silly polygonal stand designs, brash logos, and RGB lighting. It's utter cringe.
Just a simple, understated design, a well designed stand, and a high refresh rate is perfect for the everyday consumer, whether you game or not.
Currently, you're practically forced into silly "gaming monitor" territory if you're after a refresh rate above 60Hz.
Personally I'm holding out for IPS, waiting for Dell S2721DGFA or LG 27GP850-B to go on sale again
I'm also looking for a 27" 1440p monitor, but in this case I was put off by "If you do most of your viewing in a dark room or playing games/watching movies with a lot of dark scenes you may be better catered for by a display with better handling of its black levels"
