    I use Aliexpress a fair amount. The price you see on the product page is usually increased by at least 20% (in taxes, etc) by the time you get to the checkout page. And that doesn't include any duty that might be payable. So things are nowhere near as cheap as they first appear :0(

    You won't pay any duties if you are paying VAT at checkout. The duty comes for items over £130 I believe but you won't pay VAT at checkout then.

    I dare say there are others with "outlandish charging claims!". I am afraid this is AliExpress and you have to "SEPARATE THE WHEAT FROM THE CHAFF (MATTHEW 3:12)"

    I've ordered plenty and only once didn't receive the item, I got a full refund from AliExpress.

    They tend to put cheaper prices on the parcels than the item actually costs to bypass custom charges. (edited)
