iPads and MacBooks use USB C, and from September this year so will new iPhones

Genune Apple cables are one of those unique market niches where the clones are vastly better than the OEM kit. I've replaced all my Apple cables within the year because they all split at the ends.
Their hardware is amazingly reliable, but their cables, they are all made from string cheese for some reason

I think it’s the biodegradable coating they use on them - they seem to flake apart leaving the metal shield. They work well when they haven’t failed but I always get alternate quality brands as they just seem more durable and often cheaper - replaced the Lightning ones with Amazon Basics Premium range and even the missus hasn’t broken those yet. Baseus, Anker and INIU were good for USB C to C as well as some other random ones on Amazon. (edited)

Slightly off-topic, should I get a iPad (10th gen) or wait for the iPad (11th gen). (edited)

Probably skip both and get an iPad Pro lightly used/refurb. The iPad 10th Gen is too close to the Air and unnecessarily expensive now.

Put the word Charge in before Cable.

That’s the official name and might help stop people crying about speeds.

Just a heads up for anyone that the USB-C to Lightning is a generic one as it states "Not official Apple MFI product" unlike the Apple 2m USB-C to USB-C in this deal.

These are not genuine, they're fakes. I bought them last time when listed here. You get a generic cable in a plastic bag. No original box etc, nothing. Others got the same, read the previous listing comments.

I’ve bought loads from mymemory, both genuine and non-genuine.

They have always sent the correct item.

Or just buy Anker 333 on Amazon’s Anker Store, 6ft for £7.99 or 10 ft for £9.59 (edited)

Opened the 2 I received today. Also got them in plastic bags, scuffed and kinda filthy, definitely not new and not as advertised, they do appear genuine when comparing with my macbook pro 16 usb-c cable and they do have the apple marking with serial number on the side, so I have no reasons to believe that these are fake, but they are certainly not new and not as advertised, will be returning both...

strange wanted to buy 2 but wouldn't let me add 2 to cart, saying just one available. I managed to order 2 in separate orders and still showing in stock but thanks anyway will come handy for sure
