    I use mine to test the down force on my turntable arm.

    However some of you in ‘certain neighbourhoods’ might want to use these scales weigh your gold and silver jewellery before taking them to the pawn shop. You can look up the cost of gold silver per gram online to get a rough idea of the value. (edited)
