Hard to think that anyone who loves strategy games doesn't already have one or both of the XCOM's but if not then this is excellent value.

Chimera Squad was very "meh" with its fixed storyline and cast of characters.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again - but if Midnight Suns was just XCOM2 but with Marvel Super Heroes it would have sold bucketloads.

Agree with all of that. The whole marvel meets xcom thing was a bit like a positive and negative in batteries, super charged by the card draws. It's almost like 3 sets of fans they were trying to combine into one. Ended up jack of all trades, master of none.

Xcom 2 is my favourite game of all time.....and I didn't buy midnight suns. (edited)

Only bought chimera squad recently, but needed 2 and war of the chosen (which totally changes the game!) so bought! Loads of content for the money.

WOTC is a real challenge depending on the order of the bosses. Facing down some of them with relatively rookie troops and low-end weapons is incredibly hard. WOTC + Ironman to be about as hard as it gets (I wouldn't recommend it).

Loved playing all of these, pretty much an essential buy for any turn-based strategy enthusiast & when you've completed XCOM:EU & XCOM:WOTC have a go with the Long War & Long War of the Chosen mods for hours & hours more content.....good luck Commander!

Any other turn based games you can recommend? other than Civs. I so wish we'd have had xcom 3 by now. We might not even get it now Jake has left fireaxis.

Gah! I have all 3 already. Only played through the first, so far.

Is this worth it for the War of the Chosen DLC?

Oh yes. War of the Chosen DLC makes a great game even better.

~700 hours of my life were sucked up by these three games
Dunno why Chimera Squad gets so much flak. It's a great more combat focused XCom. Also came out just after lock down which helped keep me sane.

Too many people were judging it as if it were xcom 3. Expectations were too high. I thought it was a great spin off. It was fun and different enough to the main games to present different gameplay

Played these on the iPad a fair bit, how's the gameplay on the steam deck?
