Grand Seiko Heritage 41mm Radiant Silver Dial Men's Spring-Drive Bracelet Watch SBGA201G.

Simple and refined, Grand Seiko watches from the popular heritage collection are stripped back to the essentials for effortless timekeeping.

The classic look of the models from the Grand Seiko Heritage collection has led to its varied use among professionals, avid watch collectors and fans of the guaranteed accuracy promised by a quartz Japanese-powered wristwatch.

This elegant 41mm men’s Grand Seiko Heritage watch, however, is powered by a mechanical movement and is crafted from stainless steel, featuring a slim bezel that frames a silver dial.

The sword-shaped hands and stick markers marry effortlessly together for a sophisticated look when combined with business or office attire. This 100-meter water resistant watch also features a power reserve indicator at 8 o’clock, protected underneath an anti reflective glass front crafted from sapphire crystal.

The back of the watch is also sealed with this material, enabling the wearer to catch a glimpse of the performance of one of Grand Seiko’s most reliable movements. The Spring Drive is a unique calibre that combines the precision of a quartz movement with a mainspring.

With a useful 72-hour power reserve and a stainless steel link bracelet with a folding clasp, this Grand Seiko Heritage watch will look charming and refined enough for wearing to every imaginable occasion.

I know this has the spring drive and all that, but the dial is so plain, if you are spending a decent wad of cash you'd want something a bit more special, shame they don't have better deals on more popular models

Champagne dial is one of grand Seiko most labour intensive dials. Takes more steps to make than a lot of others.

If you want an amazing timepiece rather than a fashion statement or investment then Grand Seiko is the one, they are incredibly well built and finished and my spring drive gains about 2 seconds a month, I love it.
By the way I like this dial, bet its one of those that looks much better in your hand than on a photo. (edited)

My Bulova Accutron II is rated at 15 seconds a year.

I have basic solar/ radio controlled Casios and reasonably priced Citizens radio controlled Eco-Drives that are accurate every day.

Ah but they're watches, not timepieces I guess...

Weirdly my 60s Oris is pretty accurate for a very old automatic. Have yet to see how much it gains or loses in absolute numbers as it's not a daily driver. (edited)

£3600 for a Seiko? With a champagne dial? On HotUKDeals?

What dystopian universe have I woken up in?

    It’s not a Seiko, it’s a Grand Seiko.
Plus it has the Spring Drive movement, which is one of the most innovative movements on the market.
£3600 is an absolute bargain for what you get, considering the cheapest Rolex Oyster Perpetual, with a movement that has not changed design wise for the last 50 years, sells for £10K.

I had a Seiko that looked like this 30 years ago - it cost £50. (about £200 allowing for inflation). I think it's in a drawer somewhere and probably still goes if I put a new battery in.
Each to their own I suppose.

I mean this is probably a watch that should be circa £700-£1k imo. It's well made with good materials and not battery powered. It runs like a mechanical but with an electronic regulator (powered by the movement itself) to maintain accuracy. Very nice stuff, but these prices are just due to the nature of watch enthusiasm and somewhat a brand.
