While SONOS launched its sale yesterday, lots of big retailers followed and matched their prices. While SONOS brought the Sub (Gen 3) down to £639, Currys went even a bit further and offers the black one for £549. This can be further reduced today on Sat, 27 May with 15%(!) cashback (tracked as £68.62) + an extra £3 via TopCashback!

£549 - £68.62 - £3 = £477.38

That's a brilliant price even compared to the 'regular' sale price right now. And a massive saving compared to the RRP of £799.

    With the TC cashback (IF it’s “rewarded”) this is very close to the current Sonos price for the mini sub. If you have a relatively small listening space, would it overpower that space?

    You can turn the sub down, so personally, I’d get this as you may have the need to use in a bigger room at a later date.

    Called Richer Sounds for a price beat, got the Black Sub for £539 delivered. And a 6 year warranty on top of that. Would always buy from them over the horrific service and lack of support from Curry's.

    Looks like it’s a blank 15% on everything today and I couldn’t find any exclusions in the T&Cs. 

    While of course not confirmed yet, it at least tracked as 15% for me.

    Little tip for you. I wanted the white sub but it's more money but was willing to buy the black one as it's a good offer.
    The black one must be sold out or something, website doesn't let you pick up or deliver.


    ANYWAY. The white sub is available at Hills radio for £549. Currys will price match this, it'll work on the website for collection or delivery.

    Not heard both at home, but I have the q-990b. The subwoofer has developed a horrible rattling sound after 6 months. Samsung support has been shocking and they’ve said it’s ‘within tolerance’ which I found unbelievable. Luckily Richer Sounds agree that the sub is faulty and are going to pick this up with Samsung on my behalf. The q-990b sounds good , but if I could go back in time would purchase the Sonos instead.     I’d warrant caution- as I’m now out the best part of 1200 as curry’s mucked up and rejected my click and collect order- leaving me with a spent instant gift card which I purchased via my work rewards portal and they could do nothing about it. Have had to purchase another as is to be delivered to my address and need to try rectify down at store as I’ll have a useless refund of a £540 gift card 😩

    The same thing happened to me with Currys last year. Very stressful. This is a great deal and while I’m tempted, I’m sticking with my vow not to buy from Currys again!

    I have two Play 1's and a Roam. I'm using the Roam to grab Bluetooth audio from my Anker 4K Laser projector, and that sends audio to the Play 1's. Can I also add this sub since they're all able to use the S2 app?

    Would have hit this but I’ve been stung too many times with Currys & TCB, infuriating when it £100 quid+

    Don’t think it’s TCB fault as they are ok with other things but seem to have a messed up transaction method with Currys.

    I've got it with a Beam (gen 2) and two One SLs. If you've got the money, it's an incredible set of speakers. Very intuitive, all wireless, minus the power cords. Clean aesthetic set up if that's your thing too.
