I bought 100s of these on offer from a UK distributor for our shop. Had loads returned. They are awful. Sometimes there's a reason things are cheap.

I bought one similar and it uses 4aa batteries each
So needs it's own battery charger for 8 batteries and too much faff

6AAA each, no thanks, would have been better if it was rechargable

I never once thought “I need an led light” while putting salt on my chips. Over engineered much?

Not only are they entirely unnecessary there's their carbon footprint issue...a) battery operated and all that goes with it (manufacturing, charging, etc.) and b) the units are clearly going to end up as landfill far sooner than their manual counterparts.

The good thing is when you run out of salt you can use the crystalized battery acid for your sodium* fix. (edited)

    Sulphur?

    Sodium?

Unless you're partial to some weird salt.

One of the worst brands I’ve ever had the misfortune of investing in.
Kitted out my kitchen with their dark red stuff and the every single things was knackered within a year.
Toaster burns one side while barely touching the other.
Mug holder is so short that even small mugs are resting on the base instead of hanging.
    Salt and pepper grinders died.
Microwave got full of rust within a year while my previous one lasted decades.
    Kettle just stopped working.
    Saucepans fell apart.
Utensils are the softest metal I’ve ever seen and bend easily.

Bread bin… well I tell a lie. The bread bin is still ok. (edited)

Returning mine, just read about the amount of batteries that they take!

Not great quality. Had 2 previously. Both failed the same way. Also , they won’t replace despite the warranty

A grand total of one positive comment on the thread so far and yet the sheep have voted to 326degrees so far. No surprise there then.

We’ve found that electric mills are not that good no matter how nice the brand. Always end up developing some fault and being battery powered means just end up causing more of a headache over time.
