Not to mention the horrible environmental impact, doesn’t this completely negate all the benefits of an air fryer? Powerful convection and air circulation? If you block all the air circulation, you’re left with a small oven.

I just ordered some of the silicone ones for my ninjas, round and rectangular ones. Should I cancel? I didn't think of it impacting the cooking by blocking air circulation

Yes we need more land fillers

I can't see what problem is, it's only organic cardboard/paper which is tree pulp. It rots down back into soil which is good for the ground, worm's, microbes etc

Avoid if the come loose from the tray they catch fire if they hit the top element

This literally defeats the purpose of an air fryer. You'll notice the standard metal tray has holes in the bottom which allows air flow to reach the bottom side of the food; these sheets including the silicone ones block that so your food won't cook properly!

Just need to increase the cooking time by 2 minutes. So hardly impacts it at all. I'd recommend silicone reusable over these however.

Or buy a pair of reusable silicon trays that can also be used in the oven and microwave for £9.99, that can go in the dishwasher, and not throw anything away, or require new manufacture every few months amazon.co.uk/gp/…L4G

If one enjoys soggy cooked food in the air fryer then get these (but do have a purpose in certain instances with marinated meats, fish etc, once partially cooked remove the liner and air fry otherwise the marinate drips to the bottom and burns) otherwise I'd avoid using these for everything else.

Has Just Stop Oil invaded the comments section today? My God.

Already been said but nobody should be buying or using these. Forever chemicals means they are extremely bad for the planet and toxic to your health.

They stop the food from cooking...Good idea! If they worked x

Thanks Saj. The 7.9inch is also on offer.

Cold!! The non-stick coating probably isn't very friendly at all. Most likely a derivative of PFAS, known as "forever chemicals", precisely for the reason it doesn't ever break down. Plus causes all sorts of issues that goes into your food BEFORE you chuck it away. Unless of course, you trust cheap tat that comes out of China??

Oh dear. I’ve been using parchment paper for a while! I’ll get silicone liners instead.

One with holes are better, this will take more time to fry, more spend on electric.

I purchased this and it’s very very hard to clean lot of dirt gets stuck in the crevices and it’s almost impossible to get rid despite cleaning it regularly

They're okay if you use them afterwards as a serving dish if you're having a few guests over, but even then it's not worth it.
