To be fair,I think it's the combination of ship and itinerary that is responsible for this being on offer at such a cheap price. This sort of itinerary during term time is usually the sort of itinerary that attracts the older cruisers and they don't typically like this sort of huge ship. The fact there is so much availability left isn't therefore that surprising. It was an 'interesting' decision by p&o to stick this ship on this itinerary imo.

What's the Internet situation on a ship like this? Coukd I work on it? Might make for an interesting change of pace

I was just about to post the same question! I’m genuinely thinking of doing this for a change of scenery.

To be honest, I don't really care what the itinerary is, I just like being on a cruise ship and, if the price is right, then that's the clincher for me. Of course, a nice itinerary is better but I'm not really that bothered. I fully understand, though, that for other people itinerary is a major factor in the cruise that they choose and I can see why this particular option wouldn't be attractive to them (my daughter would hate it!).

If I had the holiday allocation available I would be happy to book this cruise (edited)

I wonder if this has wifi? Could remote work and take six days off for the weekday non-sea days (edited)

Do you get sea sick on a cruise? I mean can you feel the sway?

You can, but they're mostly designed to avoid that from happening. Never done this one before, but I've never felt it on other ones I've been on

Most round Britain are shorter(12n) with more ports.

Look at Princess if you want a better one.

P&O like to go slow to use less fuel and keep people on board spending.

The price also reflects the itinerary imo, solo usually costs much more and P&O have a 12nt solo one to Norway for £676 atm.

Princess usually cost more, but better itinerary and service tbh

I'll just get off at STH Queensferry and save the trip back from Southampton lol

Gateway to the Loch Lomond, Glencoe etc. and it's a very nice sail in / out.

I booked my first 2 day cruise to Germany after looking for months for something that would be ok for my son ( he has LD and I wasn’t sure about being on a ship for a week on my own). Anyway that aside there are some absolutely cracking deals to be had, many at less that £50 per person per night. This cruise is a good deal BUT the ports are hideous, I mean who literally came up with this itinerary?
You could stay on the ship for 14 nights solid ( that would send me mad) because I think that is possibly the only way to enjoy this cruise. But for £40 a night and no washing up, food included and all the clearing done, I can see this being a good deal. Perhaps an author who was needing a couple of weeks to write a book could enjoy this cruise?

The itinerary is a little unimaginative, lots of sea days considering everything is so close together.. I'm on a cruise at the moment from Southampton to Tromso in Norway - only 1 sea day in the 12 day cruise.

Question how much are drinks on the ship

Decent, similar to pub prices on P&O. Also you can bring a bottle with you when boarding
