Essentially it's material which you can use to revise for all CompTIA courses. Each course is usually £425 but now it's on discount for £2.65 each or you can get 8 CompTIA courses for £12.85.

You still have to pay seperately for the exam. But accessing revision material for only £2.65 is definitely worth the try.

Would look amazing on your CV for IT related jobs.

Courses included:
A+
Fundamentals
Cyber Security
Network

No messing do it properly for FREE (to take exams costs but if you're low income you might get help from benefits agency) >

    netacad.com/sit…pdf

Find the track you want to study using the PDF guide above, then depending on the track you need two sites for the studies which are :

    netacad.com

    skillsforall.com/

100's and 100's of hours of free training from CISCO

Lets look at the Networking track for example >

Skills for All (Networking track) >

    Networking Essentials Length 70 hours
    Networking Basics 22 hours
Networking Devices and Initial Configuration 22 hours
Network Addressing and Basic Troubleshooting 14 hours

    Total 128 hours

    Netacad (Networking track)

Networking Essentials Length 70 hours (same course as skills4all)
CCNA: Introduction to Networks 70 hours
CCNA 7: Switching, Routing, and Wireless Essentials 70 hours
CCNA: Enterprise Networking, Security, and Automation 70 hours
CCNP Enterprise: Core Networking 70 hours
CCNP Enterprise: Advanced Routing 70 hours
    DevNet Associate 70 hours
Workshop: Experimenting with REST APIs 8 hours
Programmability Webinar Series with Cisco DevNet - 9 pre-recorded sessions

    Total (approx) 507 hours

Note this is JUST Networking track there are Cybersecurity (difficult career to enter so essential to have proper tuition) , Data Science , Operating Systems & IT, Programming and Digital Literacy. Also there are Practice tools such as Cisco Packet Tracer, Virtual and Remote labs, Gamification and Assessments.

Education should be FREE this is the way.

I don't think people should distract themselves with different courses. The CCNA goes well beyond what anyone not working in network would need to know - the Network+ is a more than good enough foundation for most. (edited)

Guys I just passed Security+, just wana throw out there that Professor Messer videos are free, and I bought an app on play store called CompTIA Security+ Exam prep by ABC Learning, and passed first time.
Was a tenner for the practice exams, there's 8 of them and also learning material. Whatever is incorrect, it will tell you the correct answer too with a description!

    Just a tip!

Worthwhile bearing in mind that this won't give you actual CompTIA certification unless you also take the relevant exams.

True. But still, It's arguably better than paying an extra £200 for the CompTIA material.

Cyber Security is a bit of a one size fits all title. I would read this article first (next link below) and then look at specific roles within this field, especially this section > Cyber Security Jobs in Greatest Demand

It breaks down some roles in this field and the skills required. So you can then do more research and see which type of role you want to specialise in and then you can make a plan to work towards it.

Google have a beginner course that will start you off >

    coursera.org/pro…ty?

If you can give it 2-3 hours a day you could finish that in 3 months. £36 a month on Coursera if you want the certificate and to have assessments graded. Otherwise you can audit each course and just learn the material free but you can't do any of the assessments.

You picked a difficult one there, it will take time and commitment but that can be said of anything work doing.

I also highly recommend this course for learning Linux. Linux is essential in my opinion

udemy.com/cou…ry/ (If the price is something crazy like £79, just leave it in your basket or stick it on your wish list and in a few days to a week it will drop to £10.99 something like that) I promise you that course is well worth doing. The instructor was a University lecturer but he is exceptional in how he teaches. You'll learn so much in just 11.5 hours. People scoff at Udemy and rightly so but there are some absolute gems in Udemy and that course definitely is one of them. (edited)

I got in, it looks like if you pay £9.99 you can get a student card which makes you eligible for discounts on things like gym memberships etc.. I am tempted by this.

How are the course materials? Any insight you can give is appreciated. Thanks

Having watched my apprentice complete this course, this price should include the exams. Also, not sure who this is aimed at? Really can't see anyone paying for the exams themselves, so they're most likely already enrolled on an apprenticeship or course that will provide the materials upfront.

The price is £2.65 for the revision materials. Are you saying the £2.65 should cover the £150 exam cost? Are you ok?

It's aimed at people who'd want to do any CompTIA exam but wants extra revision materials.

    Not that complicated.
