Without doubt. And they didn't botch the EE, graphics and new mechanics work well, so highly recommended.

Wow, I've never heard of it! Playing on the Steam Deck is probably out of the question?

Only if they really screwed up the update. This was a late 90s/early 2000s game so the original runs quite happily on a Windows 98 era machine.

I found it to be an overhyped game when I played it though, and that was a lot closer to release so I don't know how well it's aged.

Great game 20 years ago but hard to play it now sadly

What can change the nature of a man? One of my all time favourites. Flopped when it came out but grew a big cult following. If you like a good narrative that's really out there this is your game. The combat is dated but this is one of the most epic stories told in gaming. I have this version and it is worth your time. I quote the game to this day and first played it 25 years ago.

"Don't let it end like this"... actually how I felt after moving into the final area (no spoilers) as I just wanted the story to continue. About as close to perfect as an rpg of that era could get; freedom to choose your path in a number of ways, consequences for good or evil acts, great voice cast, engaging story and memorable characters. Has been surpassed somewhat by newer and more involved games but pre-millennium there wasn't really anything that had the same overall feel to it. (edited)
