Can anyone confirm these things work? Was looking into something like this a long time ago, and the costs were very high as you are converting from Analogue to Digital etc. Are there any compromises?

Can’t vouch for that exact brand, but have a couple of similar ones working fine connecting two older screens to my laptop. Use an Anker USB C/ HDMI dongle to feed out of the laptop

I've ordered several hundred of these over the years as the Schools I manage only have old VGA infrastructure and they work as you would suspect. We get a few faulty every now and again, but normally a unplug and plug back in will get the projectors working again.

Displays are 1024x768 so never had chance to try them on many Full HD setups, but the rooms with better projectors still work perfectly fine.
