They don't. I have plenty. Just make sure you don't put cold glass in the boiling water. You have to bring them to temperature because it's the shock that makes them crack.

A jar that smells of pickels for an eternity. Tried to bleach them so many times and as soon as they are dry and the lids are on for a while...PICKLES!
