I have had one of these for a few years now.

Makes a decent espresso (my primary reason for buying it). I did try the milk steaming when I first bought it but was not really impressed to be honest.

I paid more than this so this is a decent price. Voted hot

Note (like all bean to cup machines) it is relatively noisy - my family complain all the time about it - but I just ignore them as I like my coffee 😁

Do other people think that slightly older ground coffee tastes better than freshly ground stuff generally? I guess the coffee oxidises a bit and changes the flavour profile. I definitely prefer most of my ground coffee the few days after compared to straight out of the grinder. Obviously this is totally personal preference but I think the same is true for both red and white wines for example (The flavour improves once the bottle has been opened from a while, or sat in your glass for a bit). I read a blind tasting test for different coffees once, though I can't find a link, and in general the freshly ground stuff did lose to the stuff that had been ground earlier.

Really wanted one then thought am I better off buying two separate parts in case of faults?

Doesn't that go with everything? Anything that does multiple jobs means it's broken for alll jobs it does not just one. But day to day it's conveinenct to have all in one box.

I bought one last November and I'm really happy with it. Makes great coffee, cappuccino option is really easy to use although you do need to wipe clean after every use.

I bought 3rd party cleaning tablets rather than official Siemens ones which are quite pricey.

I've been chewing this one over for a while, looks like a good price - heat!

However a question for owners please if I may - how are the portion sizes controlled/can you vary them? I had a skim of the manual and it looks like each drink is of a fixed size - I could see that there is an option to change it but it appeared to then make that the new default. But sometimes I might want a huge bucket cappuccino and sometimes just a smaller mug, or to fill a travel mug. Or is there an easy way to just top up a cup?

I currently have a Breville machine which is good but feels like it's starting to wear out a bit. that too has fixed portion sizes although you can pick small or large for each drink, plus there's a manual option that just keeps going til you stop it - handy as even on the same settings sometimes it will come out half full and sometimes overflowing.

    Thanks in advance!

I have this one, you pour your own milk so can vary the size and I guess you can double the coffee by making two

Had one of these and it was fine for a while then developed an electrical fault causing it to trip the fuse.
Luckily had bought from John Lewis so got a replacement but that quickly developed a different electrical fault.
This time I was woke up at 2am by what sounded like drilling, turned out the machine had turned itself on and emptied the tank so water everywhere.
It was stilling trying to empty the now empty tank hence the horrific noise

Available in all Argos store for collection where I live (Stockport). But I have recently purchased a Delonghi one, so I guess I don't need another one!
