About this deal

This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

If you drive in France and don’t want to sit in a queue to take a toll ticket, try and find change to pay or have to lean out of the car to use your card then this is an alternative.

You just drive through the Toll Tag lanes and your off. The amount is taken from your account by direct debit the following month.

There is a deposit for the tag and a yearly charge with a fee for the active months but the website explains it all…

Cold, I use Frulli (formerly Mango tag). Free tag, free application, free 12 month France usage and only €1.70 charge for months in which you use it after that! Different costs/offers for other Countries. Used it last year with multiple tolls, no issues at all. (edited)

The FAQ has a question about whether this offer is suitable for EVs. But their discounted toll rate EV card it links too isn't free to setup. Anyone know if the standard free to setup offer can be used on an EV?

Sorry if silly question but am driving only to Normandy next month and Google maps hasn't indicated any tolls on the route we'll probably take so assuming we won't need to pay any tolls? First time taking car abroad so bit nervous (husband will drive and I'll probably sit in the back so I don't put him off!!)

The only toll road is the A13 which I sometimes use between Caen and Le Harve, if you are not in a hurry use the D roads instead they are all pretty good and you get to see France

I've had for years - can be a massive time saver at some of the toll booths.

Speed limit on motorways in France is 130kph (81mph), 110kph (68mph) in the wet. The cost is worth it just to see drivers that have driven past you at 100-120mph have to stop at booths and queue to pay manually - sometimes for up to 20 minutes and then they overtake you an hour later on the next stretch of road only to have to queue again!

    Utterly pointless for most people.

I've driven throughout front over the last 10 years and there's never a problem just getting a ticket.

I'm sure there might be some days of the year where it is a problem but I've yet to find them

Worth it if you’ve ever drove alone in France trying to climb across the passenger seat to get a ticket!

You can also use it for parking in certain car parks in Europe! (edited)

    €10 off not £10

Had one for a fair few years, well worth it.

So these just let you drive through the tolls without stopping to get a ticket?

No discount to the toll charge at all?

We did5 UK to Spain recently, the road was like £2-300 each way.

That's why, even though I enjoy the drive to Spain through France, the cost of the Tolls is a put off. Better off traveling to Croatia through Germany, far cheaper tolls.

Seriously though did you pay upto 600 for the Tolls alone? (edited)

I do not see Ulys being cheaper (compared to Fulli), sorry how do you see it? Thank you! (edited)

I have had one of these for years, perfect when driving at peak holiday times.

Just got back from a trip to France.
This simply didn't work, not for a single toll.
Best case scenario was it wasn't detected, that's easy enough as you can just grab a ticket and pay on card at the other end.
Worst experience, it was detected on entry to the toll, but on exit it wasn't.
This involves hitting a button for someone to help you, telling them where you entered so that they can calculate how much to charge you and then paying by card. With some (rightfully) angry drivers behind, it simply wasn't worth the stress.

Oh no, I'm still waiting for mine to arrive in the post before I travel on 15 Jul. I don't think I could cope with the stress of having angry drivers behind me. I've always just got out of the car, walked round and paid with my card which to be fair isn't really that much hassle. Are you going to send yours back?

Did you have Emovis or Tulli tag? (edited)
