Empower your next-generation, multi-core CPU

Crucial DDR5 Desktop Memory has the high speed needed for the next generation of multi-core CPUs, but it’s not just faster than DDR4, it’s better¹. Multitask seamlessly, load, analyze, edit, and render faster — all with higher frame rates, significantly less lag, and optimized power efficiency over the previous generation².

With Crucial DDR5 Desktop Memory, your computer³ can harness blazing speeds that were once only possible with extreme performance memory⁴.

Note: DDR5 memory is a new technology that will only work with DDR5 motherboards.

Faster load times and file transfers
Crucial DDR5 Memory can transfer data up to 1.75x faster and deliver up to 2x more bandwidth than DDR4, resulting in shorter load times, file transfers, downloads, lag time and improved refresh rates. Performance is enhanced not just during testing, but in real-world conditions².

Best value with support for both Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO
Even with CPUs that suppress memory speed, Crucial DDR5 desktop memory can reach its rated speeds with Intel XMP 3.0 or AMD EXPO turned on in the UEFI/BIOS settings⁵. Get the full value of your investment without overpaying for performance and enjoy the flexibility of using your Crucial DDR5 Desktop Memory in either an Intel or AMD build⁶.

No latency downsides with DDR5
Crucial DDR5’s system latency, measured in nanoseconds, is only up to 3% longer than DDR4 during testing⁷, meaning real-world latency performances are virtually the same. With Crucial DDR5 delivering up to 2x more bandwidth, DDR4 is still outperformed.

Optimized power efficiency
For improved efficiency and stability, Crucial DDR5 introduces on-module voltage regulation with a power management integrated circuit (PMIC), which was on the motherboard with older memory technologies⁸. This results in improved signaling and cleaner power for the modules (DIMMs). Moreover, DDR5’s on-module operating voltage is only 1.1V compared to DDR4’s 1.2V.

Micron X Crucial — quality and tested reliability you can trust
As the vertically integrated consumer brand of Micron, Crucial is trusted by millions for reliability, performance, and compatibility. Unlike module assemblers, our unique relationship with Micron involves a deeper level of engineering that delivers powerful performance you can trust. When it comes to memory, don’t settle for less.

Why so cheap?- answer is the disgusting trade war the USA is using to try to ruin China's hitech biz. China has banned Micron as a very very modest response, leaving Crucial in a lot of trouble. Micron makes flash and RAM (not the best, not the worst) and Micron now must sell on price, further weakening the global flash and RAM pricing levels for all manufacturers.

It's dropped to £25.48 now, I just bought 64 GB for £101.92. It's not the fastest but what a price.

I have had 2 builds with this memory, and it's been nothing but problems and won't ever run over 4000mhz reliabily.

Make sure this is the same type (DDR) and speed (Mhz) and you're golden

    Not really.

The timings need to match too, otherwise you’ll have an unstable and unreliable machine.

I have a Kingston Fury DDR5 16GB 4800mhz Cl28. Is it okay to add this one to it? Will it work please?

Would it work? probably, but I wouldn't risk it unless the timings were the same at least.

TBH as long as you set the BIOS to run at the specification of the lower rated stick it should be ok.

These are down to £24.99 now for Prime day. DDR5 is coming down in price, AM5 CPUs are but the motherboards are still stubbornly expensive. (edited)
