FYI for those wishing to complete Umrah.
You will need a visa (umrah or tourist) to exit the airport*.
There is a train station at the airport. It's 1hour journey to Makkah station costing 60 SAR each way.
You can take 1 luggage item with you (check size)
Taxis also take about 1hr to 1hr30 depending on traffic

*book directly with Saudia and you can get a free visa for stopovers upto 96 hours plus 1 night free hotel in Jeddah

What is the process of getting the 96 hour visa?

How much money I need to pay for a Visa? Any additional airport charges?
    T2G's avatar
A tourist visa valid for upto 1 year costs £72 plus consular surcharge £3 and VFS service charge £11.57.

I am sure there will be postage to pay for delivery of the visa along with your passport.

There is an option of an E-visa too (edited)

Thanks, OP amazing deal. You just made my trip to India as I live in BHX and I am from Mumbai. Never bought such a cheap return with a short layover time.

No alcohol served on flight if I am not wrong but surely a good thing 🔥
EDIT : At present, alcohol is strictly forbidden in Saudi Arabia, and the current national carrier Saudia Airlines, is a so-called ‘dry airline’, meaning it doesn’t serve alcohol or allow it to be consumed even once outside of Saudi airspace. (edited)

Saudia is a dry airline, they are launching a new airline called Riyadh Air, probs won't be ready for a couple of years, but with way things are going, and how desperate the Crown Prince is to turn Saudi Arabia the new Dubai (Why??) There's a good chance those flights will have plenty of rowdy drunk brits and aussies

Right in time for Eid! This is a very good deal but if ut were return in mid January would be amazing! Anyone attempted from London?

For those wishing to perform a short Umrah can do so with a FREE 96 hour transit visa and one night complimentary hotel you must apply this directly with the airline. However this may increase the ticket price

Great price and stopover doesn't seem too long for the price.

Not at the moment, cheapest around these dates are £458 with Saudia - 12hrs 15min flight

For 200 more you can get better times and direct. Honestly I think it's worth paying more and not having the agro of changing then worrying that you'll fall asleep at the airport. If these had a whole night to stopover rather than 3 hours it would be better imo.

£200 more per person quickly adds up for multiple passengers.

As a family, it would become 3 tickets for the price of 2 on this offer.

Indian family and a 23kg baggage allowance... Don't think so mate
    HellriderUKDeals69's avatar
1 per person, isn't that enough?

Great deal! Managed to get my Mum and Dad a return flight from Birmingham to Mumbai in September for 4 weeks - £330.00 each. Stopover 2hrs 45mins.

Absolute bargain, especially for the time of year. Next best was Air France where you had to pay extra for checked luggage at £538.00 or Emirates at £673.00.

Love flying with Saudia. The legroom in the economy seating is the best in class AFAIK. But the Riyadh Airport needs a lot of work catching up. (edited)

It’s only for a few hours. Go to Goa and have a booze filled month afterwards, and fantastic weather and beaches to boot.
  23. LAS00's avatar
Probably worth paying the extra £50 and book direct with the airline
