After the rip-roaring success of my previous Cex deal for the Xbox Series X which gained a whopping 93 heat in just 3 weeks, I thought I'd follow it up with this zinger.

    I bought this from cex last week, few minor scratches but works fine. They got my PS4 slim for 100 pounds too which is not bad.

    For comparison, there was a MusicMagpie eBay deal about a month ago, unboxed for £365. Prices seem to be steadily coming down for preowned PS5s

    Hmm that's pretty good, I guess you get an extra year warranty with Cex plus I've found it easier trading things with them compared to Music magpie

    Seems a bit of a risk to me, paying £410 for a PS5 when you have no idea of how well or bad its been used.

    Do you mean the condition or the age? You can inspect it instore beforehand I suppose.

    -650 is very harsh I must say, I saw a PS5 Digital edition posted on here which received over 2000 heat for a 99p saving!

    You can generally find them in the same condition for cheaper on eBay (or Facebook Marketplace if you're feeling brave). It's the same thing, just cutting the middle man

    Looking at recently sold listings for the disc version, they range from £310 - 360 with odd spikes to the 400 range (edited)

    It’s not the same thing though. Neither eBay or a Facebook marketplace seller is going to give you a two year warranty.

    Not saying this is the best value way of getting a PS5 but it certainly can’t be compared with a random eBay or Facebook seller.
