About a third of what I paid I think, was a while ago. Heat.

I own this - standard "lol 2 person" rules apply here.
If you camp solo you'll have a great time, there is lots of space either side of the sleeping compartment (other side of the sleeping compartment opens out to a storage space).

If you camp with your partner, if arguing whilst putting it together you'd better reconcile pretty quickly as you're going to be in pretty close confines with them, having said that two self inflating mats fit quite well, they are sort of pushed together a little toward the footwell, but good otherwise.

I purchased for wildcamping on the Great Glenn Way, chose because it was lightweight and easy to put up in the rain. It survived the trip with no issues, use it ocasionally for the odd night stopover with my fiancee.

With all sloped tents like this, getting changed in them is a horrible experience, but doable.

Ye those measurements are external size, internal looks way too small for 2 people. If I can't fit a double inflatable mat then its not 2 persons as far as i'm concerned.

Agree, most manufacturers overstate the size and it's really annoying for folk that don't know this is common practice. If you're looking for a "real" 2 person then the Cobra 3 is also on sale with this seller for around £90

Thanks. Could do with a backpacking tent so I can get rid of my single skin sweat box.

For around this price I do like the look of this and the Zastrugi’s mentioned on here a few times (not PlanetX)… are these likely to be as good as I’ll get for weight at this price please?

I looked into the Zastrugi not long ago, and my instinct is that it would be safer to go for the Coleman. For me I'd prefer a tent with more headroom than the Coleman, but at least it seems relatively robust.

I can find absolutely zero reports from people who have used the Zastrugi in the wild, whereas the Coleman is throughly tried-and-tested.

The Zastrugi is a cheap copy of a Naturehike Cloud Up 2, already a budget tent. One concerning detail I learned about it is that it has a seam along the groundsheet. That doesn't sound desirable as it could be a way for water to get in, plus from this video the groundsheet is translucent. You'd probably need a footprint for this tent which would add extra weight and cost.

£39.99 in Trago Mills, Falmouth, quite a few on shelf.

Good to note that it's inner and outer pitch at the same time unlike my Phoxx 2.
    damadgeruk's avatar
Phoxx 2 can be modified to pitch inner and outer together.

Any recommendations for a ground sheet for this tent? Is it worth getting one?

I'd probably just use a cheap tarp and maybe cut it to size - got this recently for another tent, can't really complain for £3.50 ebay.co.uk/itm…098

I've got this tent it's definitely a 1 man regardless of what the manufacturer says, the only issue I have with it is it's not really high enough to sit up in.

You need to be very close with the second person.

I think that's what this was referring to

For anybody wanting scale, a UK single mattress is 90cm and the illustration used is absolutely not to scale (the top width vs widest width is only 30cm different, yet in the illustration makes the widest part look 3x the size).

So when people above say this is cosy for 2 people, they really do mean it is basically 2 people sharing a single bed level of cosy, and you can't spoon in a sleeping bag to double up on some of the space!

Great durable tent, I’ve had it one for years. Good price

Great little tent. Other options for consideration are the OEX Bobcat 1 or the OEX Phoxx 2. The price on this Coleman is pitched perfectly. Heat from me! 🔥🔥🔥

Yes - the OEX Bobcat is my go to. 🏕️
