With all the reductions in people price matching Amazon this may help some members if you've brought from Richer Sounds in past 14 days and they have reduced the price since then get a refund of the difference - same as Amazon Prim are doing except this one is year round.

The item I bought has been reduced
Prices can fluctuate and we understand how frustrating it is for a price go down after you've bought something!

However, should a price drop within 14 days following your purchase then we will cheerfully refund any difference*. All we ask is that the item or package must be 'like for like', taking into account any 'freebies' and bundle deals.

Our Price Beat policy also covers the unlikely event you find your purchase cheaper elsewhere, again within 14 days of purchase.

Buyer Beware. Not all is as it seems... I bought a TV last year online with richer sounds because of this very price promise on black Friday. It dipped to £800 from £1000 at Costco in store (I have a membership) beating the richer sounds price by £100. RS refused to honour it as the price was lower in a physical store and I had bought the item online therefore the store (Costco) was not with X miles of where I bought it... (Despite saying they match online and in-store in the terms) because I bought it on the web. Absolutely infuriating. Advertising Standards were contacted as Richer Sounds point blank refused to budge and the web guy was particularly awkward about it, the ASA agreed with me and wrote to advise Richard Sounds of unclear use of language in the terms. Looks like nothing has changed since.

    Richer are generally pretty good

But for electrical items especially TVs I try and buy from Costco whenever possible

No quibble 90 day free returns even if opened

Had a TV from them that went faulty into the 5th year, they wrote the TV off and give me a pro-rata credit to us against another purchase, you will not receive a replacement TV.

    *Usage scale:
During year One – full value
During year 2 – Original retail less 20%
During year 3 – Original retail less 30%
During year 4 – Original retail less 40%
During year 5 – Original retail less 50%
During year 6 - Original retail less 60%

While Costco gives you back 100% of your spent even after 5 years.

Heat for Richer Sounds, had nothing but great experience whenever I've bought from them or claimed on their 5 year warranty.

"Same as Amazon Prime are doing" would disagree on that though as Amazon refused to refund £50 difference on Kindle paperwhite bought 5 days earlier, so have ordered the same item that's £50 cheaper and returning the same item I paid £50 more for, absolute disgrace by Amazon.

And a stupid waste for them
They'll have to sell your returned one as refurbished

I would vouch for this company, bought an LG OLED TV for a huge discount and then found out I had a promo code it was refunded to me and applied even after my order was delivered.

I wish I experienced the same after-sales that others report.

I got an LG C1 TV last year and within days the price dropped a fair bit. They refused to match the first time because it “went out of stock” - mostly because it took them close to a week to respond to my request! And then it came back in stock, lower price… but happened to be a slightly different model number - I had xxxxxxxxx and the cheap one was xxxxxxyxx which had a slightly darker grey stand!

I wonder if they've spotted an Amazon tactic here of trying to crush the competition. Amazon keeps prices higher than we expect during sale, competitors match, then they drop it again and refund the difference under their policy which got 2000+ heat here, so look like heroes when competitors usually don't have this policy and ability to react accordingly and have customers refunding things after ordering.

They’ve just won UK Best Retailer Of The Year for the fifth year in a row so I’m not sure I’d be comparing them to Amazon.

Maybe it’s for the competitors to up their game in an incredibly tight market with the current financial situation?  Obviously folks are free to choose who they shop with and why

Richer Sounds after sales is definitely very good, but Costco is even better !!!

Julian Richer, the polar opposite of Darth Bezos regarding employee ethics.

I buy nothing off Amazon and would rather give RS my money even if Julian doesn't own RS any longer. Plus the local RS is 1 mile away, bought my first Cambridge Audio student system from them back in the mid 90s and still have the Tannoy M2 speakers.

I bought an LG C1 (thanks HUKD) from RS last year.  They actually honoured the price refund twice and I ended up getting the TV for about £100 cheaper.

Top service and nothing was too much trouble.

So... They are doing a thing everyone else does? And has for years.

    I don't get it.

Why is this even a deal?
Is it just a sponsored advert type thing?

A little annoyed that I narrowly missed this window.

Bought my TV from them 4 years ago and it has now dropped in price.

Yeh because price drops are all the rage at the moment! Great policy and all but prices are tending to go up for everything right now.

Bought a TV off them this year and got £20 off. Filled out a form on website and they call you back and transfer the money.
