These are a thousand times better than the British batchelors supernoodles and half price.

These taste awesome and I’m no health freak but my god my lips immediately turned dry as hell all day after eating these. Only then did I check the salt content and it is absolutely insane. Sadly it’s put me off eating them :/ thought I’d found a new favourite food but turns out I just love copious amounts of salt

Could use less of the flavour pack? (Assuming thats where all the salt is)

They are nice...but they hit the button because of the oodles of MSG they put in them.

MSG is just a naturally occurring substance. Tomatoes and types of cheese contain it. It's extracted from seaweed, just as sugar is from sugarcane. Brilliant when used moderately and can help reduce sodium intake by two thirds. (edited)

Do they still do the "Black Garlic" flavour?

Bought four boxes (so 160 packets) of them once from a Manchester wholesalers, £4 a box cos they were past Best Before Date.

Tasted amazing but noone ever discounts BBE stuff like that now, at best 25% off

Foodforfoodies (Asiana - Nottingham wholesale) has a BBE section/ onlinesale section that sometimes has amazing offers

Link to 30 @ £17.99 for black garlic flavour, not as great as your amazing offer though

Beef ones are my favourite - chuck some beansprouts and mushrooms with them , then 2 mins from end crack an egg in with them so it poaches and a dollop of kimchi in there when they are done.

Sadly my Tesco doesn’t have any beef ones listed

Try using this Tsuyu instead of the soup packet provided and boil the ramen noodles in it or pour the dirty water away and make a fresh soup. about 1:10 ratio so 300ml = 30ml tsuyu. amazon.co.uk/Mor…BHP (edited)

Nah, Nissin Raoh Dandan noodles are the best, but sadly also a lot more expensive.

My favourite in these are the black garlic ones, thankfully I work from home most of the time so don't have to worry about garlic breath lol

The go to brand growing up . Big Box used to be £10 in Seawoo (Asian supermarket) well expensive now!

Just to jump in on the flavour, beef will always be my favourite, reminds me of my dad cooking them for me with a fried egg as a little boy, sadly gone now ❤️

Yeah, used to buy boxes of 30 for £9.99 at Seewoo in London. That was about 15 yrs ago.

Don't know whats happened to Seewoo. They used to be the cheapest supermarket and always had massive queues at the checkouts. Lung Fung in Gerrad St is the cheapest now. (edited)

Are these usually on a different aisle to the other noodles and stuff? Never seen them in my tesco and have looked where the pot noodle and super noodles are and also looked on the aisle with Asian noodles like wok ones. Never seen these or now that I think about it the other types of ramen noodles either so if anyone can help me out as to what aisle they’re normally on that’d be great

member the days it used to be 15p in Asian shops then 25p then 35p when supermarkets got hold of it.. then 50p then 65p-75p.. meh. Made in Hungary or some european place too, flavour's different.

Good price for this all things considering.. heat added. (edited)

The spicy ones are delicious, the best I've tried outside of going to a local Asian food store.

I have tried the chicken ones but boiled them in plant based milk instead of water (pea milk) and the taste is even better.

In HK, we sometimes eat these uncooked. Anyone in the UK do the same?
    SimonViklundRP's avatar
Yes when I burn my water

These are good noodles, coming from someone who has actually consumed them! They are good quality, tasty, and good for the price (if they are about ten bob or so).

Not a fan of deep fried noodles with sachets of MSG to finish off as an ultra processed food.

The last I looked, Doll brand had no MSG. But, yes, Nissin had MSG (last I looked!)
