Don't go anywhere any hotpoint, indesit, whirlpool as they will probably break down even before a year and getting them repaired is a nightmare

Agree, I had lots of hotpoint/whirlpool washing machine or dryer before, last 2 years at best.

Got the 7kg version for my mum. It went wrong after 2 weeks. They came out and had to replace the main control board/pump and door hinge. Fortunately it was all under the guarantee No issue with them coming out though. It went wrong on a Friday, repaired first thing Monday. OK now though.

Just replaced the pump and a pressure sensor on a 2 year old Hotpoint that hadn't really been used a lot tbh. Luckily I can do the repairs myself. Working fine now but expecting more trouble in the future. Have bought a Bosch as the main machine now and the Hotpoint will be sold.

Avoid Hotpoint, Candy, Hoover, Haier, Hisense etc. Terribly unreliable with design flaws. Stick to LG, AEG, Bosch etc.

Man, I miss my LG washing machine. Moved into a new house and fitted an integrated Hotpoint, and even on its best setting it doesn't clean well, it also vibrates the **** out of the island. Only if LG made an integrated washer!

Worrying/interesting comments in this thread! I'm getting a new kitchen and one of the salesmen suggested Hotpoint and was saying it's good that it's got a 10 year guarantee. But it turns out that's only on parts and when you use their own repair service so you have to pay £150 labour for any fix.

The first year, you don't pay anything. Past that, I'd recommend starting a domestic and general policy.

    Good machines when they work.
