    I bought this one yesterday. I think this is a better version? certainly larger. Slighlty more expensive. But the white RBG version seems a good price.

    I've also ordered this one for my new build and it's arriving tomorrow. Seems to get very good reviews although I find it a bit silly that I've had to go with the one with gaudy LEDs because the one without costs so much more.

    Heat for the price of this one!

    Was torn between this one with 5 heat pipes at the bottom running across or to go with 6 and a plate in the BA120, but eventually went with the BA120 which was luckily a few quid cheaper at the time (last week). Temps are much lower than what I had with my wraith prism!!

    Link for Thermalright BA120: amazon.co.uk/The…LC/

    Also a big thank you to and for their comments on another post that made me even consider it!

    I'm always recommending TR coolers, pity they can't be posted from their own store as not enough ratings.
    This is a pretty poor deal though as the same one from the TR store on Amazon is £16.49. (edited)

    Posted seperately as mods normally delete links and don't want the above comment deleted, lol. (edited)

    I haven't used this cooler, but I'll add my 2p in and say ThermalRight are a great company to deal with and their products are top notch.

    If I was in the market for a (new) air cooler I wouldn't hesitate adding them to a short list at a minimum. I've had 2 CPU coolers from them TRUE 120, and a Macho rev B, but have also used (but not owned) GPU and mobo coolers. Excellent heat dissipation and performance to noise.

    I have the Peerless Assassin 120 on my Ryzen 7900 (I paid £32 for it on Amazon a few months ago). It's a huge cooler, but i've been very impressed with it's performance. I was a bit worried about going back to air cooling after 20 years of custom water setups and then AIOs, but i'm very happy with the Peerless.

    Tempted even though i'm using the (much hated based on comments on this site) hyper 212. But cannot be bothered to take it off of the brackets and repaste it. (edited)

    eh people here hate the 212? lol. It's all I kept buying for years. Had them in 3 different builds and it seems fine? Granted it used to be annoying to install but not so bad now with the updated models. Probably still is better out there now but it's by no means bad.

    You can't do better than the noctua nh-d15. Sure it's more expensive than this but it's future proofed and you've got the best manufacturer there is
    It's large so you need the appropriate case.

    Yeah nah, I'd rather put the difference towards a better CPU, there's only a tiny real world difference anyway.

    Decent cooler and really easy to install, but price changes frequently and I would think this is at a higher price than it often is listed for, still good value though

    Better than a Snowman M-T4?

    How can this be hot when you can get it from TR's Amazon store for so much less, and dispatched from the UK?
    FearOne_'s avatar
    Probably because it's a good price for this type of cooler from a quality brand.

    But yes you can get an even better one for less from their store. (edited)

    I have this and I get peak temps of 85 in stress tests with the included thermal paste on an intel 12700f. So take that as you will, it's definitely solid for the price.

    for what its worth I have the pearless assassing and it kept my ryzen 9 7900x to 80c during a prolonged cinebench run

    Just because lots of people seem to be talking s**t about it...
    The 212 was king for a good few years, for the price there wasn't much that could compare in terms of performance/compatibility and ease of install. Just that TDP's for CPU's have risen so much and they haven't changed the 212 to keep up.
    Plenty of alternatives with better performance for the price now:

    * Thermaltake PeerlessAssasin -
    - probably the best fo the price, can add an exra fan to make it 3 which is crazy good performance.

    * Thermaltake Assasin King -
    - The best 212 replacement

    * Fractal Design Dark Rock Pro 4 -
    - For quietness and high TDP.

    * Noctua NH-D12L -
    - It's Noctua and they do a black version instead of the (imo) horrible Noctua beige.

    But anyone derising the 212 has no clue tbh, it was king for a reason and still excellent value for low TDP builds (edited)

    No one has been talking crap about the 212, what are you on?
    It was - and still is - a capable cooler. It just isn't the best value anymore. (edited)
