I used to buy these for around £15 years ago off eBay so this looks like a good deal. Especially since I heard they stopped making these out of metal now but that could be wrong. Just a word of caution I remember reading somewhere that the paint on these is not exactly food safe so probably don't use it as a lunchbox. I didn't even want to use them for my toilet rolls! Mainly use the for tools and computer bits.

Don't use them as a lunch box because you don't want to find your lunch has been confiscated by plod when you go to the fridge at lunchtime.

That website sells 'bug out bags', Israeli body armour and handheld crossbows for £100. Those PUBG days were not wasted, finally I can be the last man standing in London!

There are some obscure items on this web site.

I did manage to bag a pair of Beaufort RAF Full Coverage Euro Fighter Anti-G Trousers With Inside Leg Zip for £38.59. They look great from behind.

To Notts lads and girls... aren't these a fiver or so down the local cattle market on Saturdays?(or used to be)?
Used to see lots of them outside army stores and poor condition ones going for £3 quid!?
Maybe they've been snapped up by the Ukrainian army
    HotDan's avatar
Is that a euphemism or is there really a cattle market in Nottingham?

Would make a great enclosure to build a portable power back with some LiFePO4's and a BMS.

Will this fit within the Ryanair hand luggage allowance?
    CynicalNurse's avatar
Not only does it fit, NO-ONE wants to sit next to you when they see you stashing an ammo box in the overhead lockers. Whole row to yourself.

i`ve had one of these for years,
and it's just too impractical to use to store anything,
as it's a pain to open and close,
but i can't bring myself to chuck it out

Anyone know if used to store car keys would it stop keyless car theft?
    TBC15's avatar
If youhad the contents of the box I think your car would be safe. North East ofEngland obviously excluded.
  38. Wayne_Hardy's avatar
Oh wow! Used to use ammo boxes as spice/condiment containers to make compo edible back in the 80's.

I still have one (flashbang box) which I use as a toolbox.
  39. Gotta's avatar
Nobody seems to appreciate these have practical use. Here's a few 😁
These rate extreamly well for battery storage or anything flamible.

Good for keeping valuables in as well incase of a fire or flood... Both of which will become a massive problem with global warming.

Stop things getting corroded outside or in a shed.

These are perfect for storing Blu-rays, Xbox One games and ps4/ps5 games. Perfect gift for your teenager's rooms and they'll actually tidy their games away too. Also a good gift idea for men that like to pretend they're a teenager with their Xbox too, just like me.

DVD cases are too tall though.
