Details

The CRIMPiT creates a sealed bread parcel (full of your own ingredients) that you can drop into your toaster.

A few minutes later out pops a perfect hot toasted snack.

The No Hassle Toastie Maker
We love toasties, who doesn't, but we hate the hassle of making them, especially cleaning the toastie maker afterwards.
That's why we came up with the idea for the CRIMPiT.
Designed and manufactured in the NW of England, it has become a must have kitchen gadget.

What Can You Make?
Only limited by your imagination. You can use a wide variety of bread - load up with a filling of your choice, sweet or savoury, crimp it all together, then simply pop it in the toaster or air fryer

Kids Love Them Too!
They are so easy to make, it's a great way to get the kids involved in the kitchen. They love eating them too.

Perfect For All Of The Family
Whether it's a quick breakfast or lunch. CRIMPiTs are a great way to use up last nights leftovers too.
Spag bol and leftover curry are some of our favourites.

These are great. We make a load of them, stick them in the freezer and then air fry them when needed as a snack for the kids. Heat.

Funny all I’ve heard about these is lots of mess and plenty of faff

How can there be faff? I use these daily with thins and gluten free thins for my daughter (drier) and work every time. Just don’t over fill them (make 2). great alternative to toast every morning and to take on the go.

I bought a couple of these in a deal a while ago, using thins for a toasted sandwich can be quite expensive, you could use really thin bread but I found that you can’t really get enough filling inside them.
  4. contom's avatar
Used it for 2 weeks then couldn't be bothered to buy thins anymore.

I bought a couple of these last year (one for a present for my sister). They are easy to use and you can use medium or thin sliced bread instead of the 'thins'. Just make sure that you press the top and bottom together well so that it trims and seals. Much less faff than using a conventional sandwhich toaster. Love mine.

Well worth it for 2. Give one to a friend. The secret is to to pop the crimpted item in the microwave for 10 seconds just to make sure all hot and melty. (edited)

Nearly bought one to see what all the fuss is about then I saw the £2.99 delivery, I'm out

To be fair they costing a fiver each so whilst it would be nice we cant expect the company to give free postage too

I’m tempted, but they’ll end up as cupboard clutterers for sure.

I don't like how you have to buy special bread for these.

To make a toastie I just make the sandwich with cheese and whatever else, squash it down with my hand so it holds together, then spread the outside of the bread with a thin layer of mayo. Put it in a frying pan at a fairly low heat until it's golden brown on each side and the cheese is melted. Job done!
    Ockingshay's avatar
You don’t need to buy special bread. If you use regular sliced bread it just cuts the crust off. They can only be a certain size to fit into a toaster! (edited)

We use these, they are excellent:

Best to wait until they are on offer though!

They are currently £35 for one. The deal you have linked is from July 2022. Crimpit are working out to £5 each

One thing to note is that many years ago, the names for sliced bread thicknesses "levelled up", so thin became medium, medium became thick and thick became (the newly termed) mega thick. There is no such thing as a standard thin sliced loaf of bread any more - instead we have these small packs of "breakfast thins" which work out to be hideously expensive per slice.

With the Crimpit video telling you to use two slices of breakfast thins to make a toastie so small that you have to make 2 of them, you'll soon get fed up spending a fortune on thins, as people have noticed with this "deal".
    alanjclark's avatar
Medium and thick stayed the same thickness. Thin cut was removed typically due to lack of interest. Thins are not a replacement for that - it's a different product. But yeah, they're expensive. You don't have to use them though - you can use normal medium cut bread.
  12. JubilantPigeon's avatar
Literally no use for 2, since you just squish the sandwich and then take it out immediately to put in the toaster. Don't buy 2 unless you're giving 1 to someone else

Like you said, give one to friend or family
  13. declan1967's avatar
1 of each style would be a far better deal.
Nobody will really have much need for 2 the same unless buying to give away or co-purchasing

Think they could have sold lots more doing a combo

    Landfill.

Dont forget to place these directly into a toaster despite what you know about plastic
    Ed11111's avatar
Yea, I think healthy/unhealthy claim was a bit too strong
  16. sr_387's avatar
    is this an ad
  17. thepostie's avatar
These are great. We use ours every Sunday for lunch for the kids. Tuna, ham and cheese then whack them in the toaster and bosh.
  18. jakerushworth's avatar
I don't understand the advert, that Crimpits are healthy and Toastie Makers are unhealthy. Surely, the user is putting the same items in the toastie?
    Ashley_Clarke's avatar
I mean they're only able to take about half the size and filling so I assume that they can claim it's a healthier option that way
  19. ChrisRX's avatar
Feels like for all this faff you may as well just use a toastabag

At least then you can use full size bread (edited)

For a small slab of plastic for over £10. This is seriously gone super hot? This is some JML teleshopping "but wait there's more" type deals.

Actually TWO small slabs of plastic and in fact under £10. wrong and wrong lol

Thanks OP, I'll give it a go, ordered both the square and wrap types, I'm sure they'll be a knack to it

I have the original Crimpit and I use it semi regularly

been tempted with the wrap version and may get it in this deal

    Heard these are mega tiny
    crabby09's avatar
Yeah... I'd say steer clear if you like a full size toastie. Our kids liked them but the cost of correctly sized "thins" was too much for me and they don't work brilliantly with standard bread.
  26. B4dderz's avatar
    Bought. Nice one

Last time I ordered these I eventually got them about 3 months later. When they didn’t show they blamed Royal Mail strikes despite all other mail arriving. They told me I had to wait before they would send out replacements. After about 10/12 weeks they agreed to send some. Beware

Is it not wasteful? What happens to the scraps that are removed?

    Eat them
