Just cancelled the Order. Didn’t read the Description. Thought it was Battery powered
    Squuiid's avatar
You really sure you want a battery powered mower?
Some things just aren’t suitable to being battery powered and this is one of them IMO.

whatever you do, do not buy the bosch advancedrotak 650 or 750, the height adjustmnet button will snap internally and that grass box is pants, there is a gap at the bottom, its not snug fitting to the mower
think spillage, and the gimic fold away of the box, and the power cable is not long enough, going to need an extension if you have a long garden, lots of fun swinging cable out the way, and lastly the push bars
ohhh dont push to hard, as they come away as if your going to retract the bars when putting the mower away, locking mechanism is pants, what you want is an old fashion non foldaway box, plenty of cable, and manual height adjustment old style.

These are as old as the hills. I have the Qualcast version of this. Just needed to sharpen the blade and it goes on for more eons. Even has a basic roller (on mine).

I think Rameses III used to own mine before It was passed onto me milenias later.

These just go on and on...almost want it to break, think I've had mine for 15 years

Had my Bosch 36 Rotak for nearly a decade, build is great and study. Only issues I've had is I've mowed the cable a few times, I bought a male female connector so now I can unplug the cable

I’ve got this mower. Does a good job, is light and easy to use. Would definitely recommend at this price as I paid £100 for it on Amazon around 9 months ago.

Lots of comments saying these are great and last for ages. As much as I want to believe that, I very highly doubt they’re made as good as they were 10 or more years ago . Cheap throwaway generation nowadays

Good price , but agree, I bought this model a year ago, but not a patch on my old Bosch that I had for years, but if you need one it's a good price

Bought one of these last year - one of grass box tabs broke off, adjuster tab snapped off and the snap locks keep popping open. Bosch have gone significantly downhill these last few years.

I've got one of the original ones of these Ergo Rotak's, back when they were made in the UK. Those were the days! It's still going strong and has been a great mower. Think it's time I treated her to a new or sharpened blade actually.
    jona77's avatar
Actually so have I! Mines the 43 ergo flex has been a superb mower but like yours mine needs a new blade too!

    Yes

    Ok mower, sturdy enough .
  17. GJK7's avatar
Bought the 34r recently but haven’t had the chance to use it. Hoping to break it in tomorrow. I’ve heard they’re not as sturdy as they were but hopefully that’s not true.
  18. SpeedbirdB777's avatar
Damn ordered the 34R on Amazon prime day for £84!
    GJK7's avatar
Same! I guess that’s still priced at more than £84 now.

I bought this mower a few months ago (sadly not for this cheap) to replace the 34R, and it's been very good so far. I don't understand the complaints about the collection box. It does a perfectly good job until it's full, like every other mower. It's light to push around the lawn and easy to change the cutting height. Plus, you get nice lines with the roller. A bargain at this price.

My Rotak mower lasted just over a year, - like a friends . Out of guarantee.
    The motor self destructed.
Don’t think that by buying Bosch you get quality.
    Smoggy1970's avatar
3 years warranty on this one.
  22. Kal007's avatar
Thanks OP was on the lookout for another mower, after having a Qualcast that lasted for 10+ years, the recent one only lasted 3 years, so agree that the quality is unlikely to be the same, but very good price.
  23. dealicon's avatar
Nice one, I've got the non-Ergo one purchased at a similar price last year. I like the single lever mechanism for height adjustment. (edited)

Just ordered along with a strimmer, picking up in Bangor NI.. brilliant deal considering Very are selling these for £180 😁
    Glassonion28's avatar
Ah cool I picked mine up there too, beside Sainsbury's! I wanted this one because it had a nice ergonomic handle
  26. RobMotoring's avatar
I have one of these, great and good weight to it. Feels like it should last
  27. zarftrain's avatar
I used to have 32R that died after 3 years of abuse. I then purchased 34R that was a massive improvement with a number of handy features. A much more thought-through lawnmower. Currently 3 years and still going strong. Guess this 36R is an even nicer bit of kit.

Posted this having ordered at the previous price thinking that was a good deal 🙈
Now trying to get Homebase CS to refund the difference.
  29. LordFlashHeart's avatar
Have they made the handle easily collapsible yet? So you don't have to manoeuvre the grass collection box under it EVERY single time it needs emptying. This makes me want to kick my slightly older model around the garden and it's also the reason why I don't cut my lawn as often as I should.
    davek's avatar
You just lift it out from the back - it really couldn’t be any simpler
  30. perfectlarry's avatar
Thank you, just what I needed 😁
